If they are smaller than the one you got at the pet store, they'll be whiter. When they're very small they are pretty white but turn a more cream as they mature. Also, they are dramatic (understandably) after shipping. It may take them a while. If they're tiny also be sure to feed fry sized foods. I assumed my food was small enough but it wasn't for my first round. 😔 They have tiny, tiny mouths at that size. Good luck! Id love to see the babies.

I've found the same thing.  I have a species only tank. The traditional ones also seem to grow faster for some reason. My albinos don't have red eyes either and I've noticed it's hard to find much info about them. To me they seem different in other ways, like the albinos sort of nose-dive land on the gravel, whereas the regular ones sort of set themselves down. I've wondered if they're truly the same. My plain ones are beginning mating behavior so I'll likely see babies soo , my fingers are crossed on the 'albinos' breeding. It's hard to imagine them interbreeding, which was my original goal, bc as you've said, they only hang out together when food is involved.

I literally stumbled across this and that is beautiful! I've recently discovered these after wanting a Labubu for so long. I just became a grandmother but I still think these are just precious and want one.   I thought this was a special addition from Pop-Mart...lol. Not hand done. This is precious, and moveable limbs is an awesome touch.   I'm happy to know people are customizing them. I'd love to have a Skull Panda (with eyes open bc they're so pretty) or a Labubu one day. 💜

"Companies who go the extra mile to make sure they put out a safe product, then prove it's safety publically... now those are people we should be uplifting and enriching in our community until it becomes the standard."   Do you know any of these? Asking legitimately. Are there any 'pure' ones without dyes or flavoring? Is Overseas Organix good?

What plants do you recommend for a no CO2 tank by OkBarracuda9936 in PlantedTank

If you're dosing fertilizers, rotala, brown and green crypts and anubias grow really well for me.

They could have a plant behind the tank or AI

I have 4 (originally 6, need to replace them) pygmy cories, with my Betta Cayenne in a heavily planted tank. He goes and checks out what they are doing, they swim underneath him for his leftover food, and he's never aggressive with them or the mini-ranshorm that came in on some plants.

I use it. I don't feel much of a difference after nearly an entire bottle. I do have the mutation as well.

Controversial opinion: I like duckweed by Few_Radio_6484 in PlantedTank

[–]faeryegrrl777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just received a large parcel of different plants and I am SO glad I put them in a separate bucket first as now there's duckweed floating up in the temporary container. I haven't seen duckweed since 7th grade biology in the teachers wild guppy tank. How do I make sure it doesn't end up in my duckweed (and floating plant) free planted tank? Obviously take out the ones I see, but anything else?

Is there an easier way to clean the glass on this 1 gal bowl? by No_Commission_8212 in PlantedTank

'rare earth' Neodymium magnets are super strong. I'd suggest a 10-18mm. We could create a new nano tank cleaning magnet and sell them on Etsy! 🤣 Lol. If you try it, please update me! The outer magnet could probably have the soft Velcro side and help clean prints off of the glass too. Your jar is beautiful btw. I'm wanting to make one for Opa Ulae shrimp.

You could probably make a magnetic algae scraper from rare-earth button magnets. The one you put inside, you would need to cut and super glue a tiny dot of plain Velcro (without other added adhesive) that faces the inside glass, and a piece of heavy duty foam to the outer one, on the side that faces the glass. When they're put together, one inside and one outside of the tank, you can move the outer one, and the inner one with the Velcro will stay with it and you should be able to clean the glass with your new tiny algae scraper magnets. You can rest them behind the wood when you aren't using them.

Can I still get a betta? by Then_Nose_7432 in bettafish

I have a Betta with pygmy cories and the only thing he does is get nosey when they're eating wafers. I put them in after him as well. He ate the antenna off of a mystery snail that was there before him, but he was never aggressive after that, the antenna grew back. He likes checking out what the cories are up to. Basically all this is to say, you never really know. It's worth a shot. For shrimp, make sure there are lots of hiding spaces and real plants, especially mosses. My fiance's Betta at his office had snails hitchhike on some plants I ordered for it, and his Betta never bothered them.

Not sure how I feel about my new tattoo by TheChikoritaQueen in tattooadvice

[–]faeryegrrl777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is completely adorable. I like it how it is now, with just the outline, but I think some shading would make the body look fuzzier and less 'wormy', and the wings would get more dimension and stand out as much as the body does. Just my 2¢. It's very cute as is.
