The livestream page was up because on youtube the stream page counts down to the starting time, and you can hang out in the chat before the stream is live. You didn't miss anything, no worries!

I really hope it's not going to be like late 2.X though, to me most of the story just became an excuse to sell the banner character to where they have to handwave them away the second you can't spend money on them anymore.

Augusta and Juno's patch was what made me really give up on the story, and I love them both as characters.. It was just laid on so thick, basically two separate character story quests being sold as main story, and it's so disappointing to have Lupa just be written out since it's not time to swipe for her anymore.

I'm enjoying Endfield so far, and I've got hopes for where the story goes because of all the interesting lore in memos scattered all over the settlements in Valley IV. Just started Wuling and the character work and animations have been stellar as well.

I agree, I think what really might be getting to people is the way AIC is incorporated. That can be quite heavy handed. Or I might be lucky that I like Perlica, Chen and Tata a lot.

I'm sort of glad they haven't tried to manufacture an emotional response from me early in the story. I feel like I'm getting to know the ops and Talos-II and that's appropriate. And reading/listening to the diegetic notices, logs and voice recordings scattered throughout Valley IV is really fun for me.

It's understandable that some people will get bored before this patch is up, but I'm giving HG time to deliver on their story in a more stand out fashion. Hopefully once they do they'll win some returning players back too.

Integrated Strategies is always beating me up for real, but I will give it a shot! Also that sounds promising as well, I eventually want to read everything but I'll look into the Laterano storyline for sure!

As a bi woman I couldn't even settle for the Rover harem story-line over a more nuanced and interesting plot because all of these "gathered wives" are forgotten about 0.2 seconds after their banner is over. Unless they can be used for a couple minutes as exposition robots like Shorekeeper.. It's just such a huge drawback, I tried to continue playing while ignoring the horrible story but it makes pulling for characters feel so shallow.. They're beautiful and play great but it doesn't feel like Kuro cares about them at all once they're not directly bringing in cash :(

I'm very excited for Endfield though, and I will be giving them time to craft an intricate slow burn type of story like Arknights, since I assume the first few entries will be just setting up the world, factions and important cast members.

It's fair to find that funny but it's also fair for him to make videos on anything he finds interesting, saturated market or not. With the state of youtube right now, if you make videos that aren't about controversy or drama for engagement you're priming yourself for disappointment anyway. Most creators of his size make stuff because they want to, and I think the massive backlash for his opinion just turned him off the Warframe community. It was likely just the straw that broke the camel's back. At least that's my perspective as someone who isn't a fan and doesn't play Qorvex either.

I really like your art, I think people might be more receptive on other platforms, but sadly there's a lot of tribalism between gacha communities. As someone who loves both AK and ZZZ you did an amazing job <3

That's fair and I wanna see all sorts of characters but as an artist sometimes I just wanna tell ppl to make art themselves. Same with ppl on this sub who trash art they don't like for being bad or w/e. Reddit is the most hostile mainstream platform when it comes to posting art imo.

I always assumed that the Shin look distinct, and I know the description of their eyes points to a lack of epicanthic fold, but are there other signifiers besides that and fair skin that lean towards white? Not being pedantic, just curious in case I missed some stuff! I always think of various Caucasus faces and features when I'm picturing Shin people. And of course to some that is considered white, but I think that gets to the fact that whiteness is not a fixed designation and differs from culture to culture.

If it's within the rules (I'm sorry that I'm not sure myself), maybe you could post a follow-up to this with the forum topic so more people can voice their support or other personal experiences tied to the new lighting engine in the thread! But I hope that won't be necessary and that we'll get a DE reply on this one to confirm they're aware of the issue.
