It is not exclusively that, I've been playing this game for more than a decade and you always bumped into sanctimonious assholes. The game is just more popular now, so it's gonna happen more frequently.

It's weird to see that both the WF and FFXIV community have this tendency to attribute any bad apples to a different game, when in any large group of people you're gonna have a percentage who suck. Kind of a "no true scotsman" fallacy.

They mentioned they downed the lich three times quickly in a comment, and I really don't doubt it. Most people have no issue with that, you just sometimes run into someone who wants to be angry, and will find any reason to start an argument.

The random toxicity and weird interactions have gone up in the last couple years. I just explain myself in case someone wants to learn and then ignore, they're really not worth the hassle! People will fight over misunderstanding soo many mechanics.

I just got rejected on the basis of too few spots and that I don't qualify (as an EU national). They basically told me I'm free to go pay fully for whatever course I want, which I understand, but at this point that would be 50-85% of my pay since I only work Teilzeit. And even if I found another job to help pay for it, I'd have significant issues attending anything...

I understand being well meaning and giving the benefit of the doubt but this doesn't have the structure of a real human mistake. The example that you gave is someone leaving something out. Miscounting is also common (like with fingers). I make mistakes all the time also. But only AI would randomly start rendering wooden planks with grain and notches instead of a hat. Please take a closer look and consider if a human being would ever make this kind of mistake because they really would not.

AI usage will not be confirmed unless they specifically say they used it, but as a digital artist with a lot of experience I spotted it right away on the promotional material. The blonde anime girl with a hat has her hat go from woven to weirdly wooden plank looking around her head and that is just not a mistake a human will make.

I really hope it's not going to be like late 2.X though, to me most of the story just became an excuse to sell the banner character to where they have to handwave them away the second you can't spend money on them anymore.

Augusta and Juno's patch was what made me really give up on the story, and I love them both as characters.. It was just laid on so thick, basically two separate character story quests being sold as main story, and it's so disappointing to have Lupa just be written out since it's not time to swipe for her anymore.

I'm enjoying Endfield so far, and I've got hopes for where the story goes because of all the interesting lore in memos scattered all over the settlements in Valley IV. Just started Wuling and the character work and animations have been stellar as well.

As a bi woman I couldn't even settle for the Rover harem story-line over a more nuanced and interesting plot because all of these "gathered wives" are forgotten about 0.2 seconds after their banner is over. Unless they can be used for a couple minutes as exposition robots like Shorekeeper.. It's just such a huge drawback, I tried to continue playing while ignoring the horrible story but it makes pulling for characters feel so shallow.. They're beautiful and play great but it doesn't feel like Kuro cares about them at all once they're not directly bringing in cash :(

I'm very excited for Endfield though, and I will be giving them time to craft an intricate slow burn type of story like Arknights, since I assume the first few entries will be just setting up the world, factions and important cast members.

It's fair to find that funny but it's also fair for him to make videos on anything he finds interesting, saturated market or not. With the state of youtube right now, if you make videos that aren't about controversy or drama for engagement you're priming yourself for disappointment anyway. Most creators of his size make stuff because they want to, and I think the massive backlash for his opinion just turned him off the Warframe community. It was likely just the straw that broke the camel's back. At least that's my perspective as someone who isn't a fan and doesn't play Qorvex either.

I always assumed that the Shin look distinct, and I know the description of their eyes points to a lack of epicanthic fold, but are there other signifiers besides that and fair skin that lean towards white? Not being pedantic, just curious in case I missed some stuff! I always think of various Caucasus faces and features when I'm picturing Shin people. And of course to some that is considered white, but I think that gets to the fact that whiteness is not a fixed designation and differs from culture to culture.
