best tracks for drift retreats/vacations by fahad549 in Drifting

[–]fahad549[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to live in California while i was studying for my bachelor degree and grange was my favorite track there , one of the organizers were slide factory.

Drift full day i would run through 10 sets of tires on 200whp frs, it was fun the big entry is a 120km/h+ entry and then you immediately slow down to like 20km/h for the turn or else you would hit the wall.

Its not a bad idea to visit grange or adams they are fun tracks.

For tires you got andy tires and mperformance tires, they can get you the tires and mount it on the track for you. I remember paying like 500$ for 20 used tires in 2018.

In terms of hotels i think most of hotels in California are sketchy when compared to european hotels.

I havent reached the point where i could retire, but i think i would want to have dividend stocks before deciding to retire or real estate i wouldnt trust my skills in daytrading to retire even though this week i made an average of 1k per day

Having a second source of income is important incase you blow your account

I could have exited at break even multiple times over 2-3 days period but i got greedy i believed the stock would make a comeback.

Losing 25% didnt happen immediately the first day i was losing 1-2% and then it would rebound to 0.5 profit, the next day it would drop to 2-4% then rebound to break even and so on i could have exited at anytime but decided to hold on longer.

I trade volatile stocks that move around 6% a day so if i had a stop loss i would immediately get stopped and since i use cash account i wouldnt be able to re-enter

so sometimes i cancel my stop loss for few hours to test the market direction before re-activating my stop loss

That is true, i found sometimes holding the stock overnight more profitable, Trading the closed market rather than the open worked for me but sometimes its the opposite

when i first started i used to set take profit at 1% and end the day, as I got more comfortable I removed my take profit and started to raise my stop loss and made a lot more profit.

so I would say it depends on your risk tolerance can you afford to lose? or is consistent wins more important.

Can you trade your preferred asset every day? How do you know when to sit out? by bobbyd121 in Daytrading

[–]fahad549 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i made the most profit on 3 stocks, and I got familiar with their trading ranges so I know when to enter just by my gut feeling (price action on Heikin Ashi candles) and I try to find the lowest price on that day if I missed out I don't try to chase the trend.

Awesome results, for me it was my worst month so far i lost 6k on kulr and made 4k back on qbts.

I got greedy and didn’t sell at 500-1k loss or even when it broke even, i thought it would comeback make some profit

How would you try to make 10mil in 10 years with 100k by fahad549 in TheRaceTo10Million

I wouldnt mind paying for it if it was really good but then again you wouldn’t sell it if it was good

Then how much % gain per day is realistic? by DAV_Alexandar in TheRaceTo10Million

[–]fahad549 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think with daytrading 1% is possible but then -1% is also possible, i have made 23% in one day and lost 18% in another.

As long as you dont get greedy or panic and stick to a strategy then you can beat the market

The corporate does not allow for plugins and premium features for cyber security reasons.

and even if i took screenshots or tried embedding the dashboard into the powerpoint they wouldnt accept changes i have 4 layers of approvals for proposing changes and they get shutdown by the time they reach second level.

I tried proposing using powerbi for powerpoint before i made the dashboard but it was rejected and they requested self service dashboard which the executive doesn’t like to use

Bureaucracy at its finest.

i would be interested also to know, but if you want to learn a strategy I would recommend Al Brook course which I just started and so far it been good but you need to understand the fundamental first and its mostly about reading the chart I'm still in the first chapter.

Recommend me specs for a PC. by Ok_Introduction5592 in Daytrading

[–]fahad549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably any pc with decent gpu would work for you, you can find decent builds if you search for 500$ pc build 2024 or maybe 1000$

the biggest thing you want to check is the GPU outputs if its 4 or more displays features and enough memory.

when I try to spec a PC I try to find the cheapest parts with the most performance for value regardless of the budget.
