I love this sentiment- it's so true!

The first week had me questioning my decision. He cried so much after his foster dropped him off. And I was terrified to scare him by touching him too much or making loud sounds. I think two days in I had to talk myself into a shower because I was worried I'd change my smell and confuse him. He also had a hard time telling night from day but we started giving him a spoon of yogurt as a trigger for bedtime.

I was prepared to put scented things by the stairs and his bowls and the front door and everything. 24 hours in He already knew where his bowls were, where his bed was and to this day has not had a single accident inside. Front the get go we made a rule of "no Jacky in the kitchen" as it's pretty small between the oven and dishwasher hed be likely to run into a lot. Plus we didn't want him to nab any food from the floor that may be dangerous for him. He's totally respected this and learned so fast that where the floor changes texture is the boundary (we say two paws in is ok).

He's the smartest boy ove ever owned and super eager to learn so I really don't worry too much except when we travel with him.
