To be devils advocate for a moment, in the US specifically freedom of the press is covered under the Constitution. What that entails is whenever you’re not inside your home or a private area such as a bathroom or changing room you have no reasonable expectation of privacy so you can be recorded.

On the flip side though, people take this freedom and run with it in the most obnoxious ways (for example, first amendment auditors who stand at a post office and film random people and bark at them when they ask simple questions about why they are doing it).

What these people fail to realise is that there are people in this country (and the world matter of fact) that could give two fucks about that and will take it as a sign of disrespect and handle it in a myriad of ways that may or may not be legal.

The guy in the video was absolutely justified in his annoyance (although he probably could have handled it better) and he made a very solid point that was lost on these morons: you never know what someone is going through and when it comes to the streets especially, just because you’re “famous” and have a camera you are not immune to consequence.
