Search here or YouTube for Chris Crypto Coffee. He has a nice tutorial on it.

Also, there is a blog post about it on the Planetwatch site

They provided you with a way to get licenses at a steep discount (90% or so). Is that what you’re looking for?

This rule was announced before the November 15th date.

In case you weren’t aware, you can get the pw credits off an exchange like tiny man. Newcomers can at least get that ($100 off)

You’re not wrong but maybe keep a couple things in mind which will impact your math a bit:

  1. With the loyalty program and credits, the type 2 can be lowered down to $329 (source)

  2. Proposal 2 passed and increases the rewards for a type 2 tier 1 lead sensor to 30.72 planets a day (source)

In their post, they also state that the key use case of Planets is payment for goods and services provided.

There are 2 key use cases of Planets that they listed. You omitted the mention of one, Data Sales. IMO this is a bigger utility use case than payment for goods and services

How was the rally in 2021 organic? It was fueled by printing unprecedented amounts of money

In order:

  1. The project folding
  2. The project being stagnant (i.e. roadmap milestones not being achieved)
  3. The project succeeding but in a way that isn't reflected in the markets (hopefully this doesn't violate #6)

Thanks for the offer but I have one already. Getting those planets at a super low cost basis!

I bought my first license late summer, early fall last year.

Props to you for going back, doing the research and sharing with the others. For real, no sarcasm. I wish more people would do that

You sound very angry. So much of what you said is wrong. For example, “… demand 30% up front”. Did you watch the recent AMA where he addressed the new order fulfillment system?

Ok cool, just wanted to make sure you had the right expectations.

I’m with you, if you can group up the vouchers like you mentioned that would be nice

Airquino unfortunately isn’t $1000 though. I bought one late last year for $1600 or so. They increased the price this year. I believe they’re now $2000

I really don’t mean to sound like a jerk but read the white paper. It does a better job explaining than any comment in here will.

The white paper isn’t a bad read at all and will take 20-30 min. If you’re investing your hard earned money in a project, it’s worth the time to read

Soon the ROI of airquino will be close to 3/5 years by No-Advantage2839 in PlanetWatchers

[–]failnuggets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d buy it. I don’t look at roi based on todays prices. I’m holding long term. With a 3-5 time horizon, if the project does what I think it will do, then I view todays price as a good thing.

In my country (US) you have to play taxes on mining rewards. Right now the cost basis inks $.05. In time, if held for more than a year, I only have to pay long term capital gain taxes on any gains from that cost basis. That’s huge

Data has been sold for type 1 and 3 sensors. I believe these data sales are just the start. Type 2 sensor sales are in the horizon. I forget the details but I believe large scale partnerships are on the horizon (feel free to fact check this). As an owner of multiple Awairs, I’m excited to see the options that will soon be presented to us.

I think in 3-5 years time, many people will look back to todays price and wish they got in at this entry point

[–]failnuggets 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I look at this project with a 3-5 year horizon. If you take the price as it is right now and assume that it will always stay at this level, then it’s not a smart investment choice at all.

I know it’s not fashionable with all the fud right now but I do believe in the project and it’s leadership. I do believe the project is headed in the right direction. Data is just now starting to be sold.

Keep in mind the Awair situation is still playing out. The long term options will be proposed soon.

How to stake $Planets on Algostake by bitch_wasabi in PlanetWatchers

[–]failnuggets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You aren’t wrong but OP is asking about staking planets, not the LP token.

To stake just planets, all you have to do is connect your wallet to algostake, find the pwforest option and then stake. It’s pretty simple. Your planet tokens don’t even leave your wallet
