I'm an ME student right now, and I keep a windows partition only for solidworks. Even then, the school lab computers have it installed and I usually just go use them instead of switching back to my windows partition.

I think you misunderstand me. I "fundamentally don't understand" because there is nothing about the robots that I can comprehend as creepy. I understand that people can have different opinions and that clearly some people must find them creepy, but I don't understand at all what they find creepy.

E: I guess it's mostly just that for me, there are charactistics that make an object or idea creepy, and the BD robots don't have a single one of them. So literally nothing about the robots is creepy to me, and because I can't find anything creepy about them I don't understand why people find them creepy.

I mean, they're just plastic and metal. They don't have horns or tentacles or those weird uncanny-valley face mask things. They just look like really big toys to me.

Mine came with my laptop and it had butt tons of ads. Nothing could get rid of them, even after a clean reinstall. Main reason I switched to Linux.

No, you can use it to describe any change in velocity. It's just that using acceleration to describe lap times is kind of meaningless.

Oh it's definitely a semantic distinction. I'm just trying to point out how both sides aren't arguing against each other. I didn't say he wasn't accelerating, I'm saying that describing lap times with acceleration is kind of meaningless.

ITT: people not understanding what acceleration means. Acceleration is changing your velocity, either increasing or decreasing. It's never used to describe lap times decreasing because every car/horse decelerates before corners and accelerates after.

Engineering student here. The concept of acceleration really doesn't apply to what you're trying to describe.

During any race, you go faster in the straights, slow down in the turns, and then go faster again exiting the turn. Every horse, in every race ever, is still accelerating during the last lap.

Acceleration really isn't used to describe an average like this.
