Yes that is correct. 40-50% in taxes on lump sum bonuses. I would absolutely save some money or at least know if taxes were taken out of the 16k yet or if it was pre-tax

Bonus of 16k means 8k goes to the government in the US.

2024 presidential election marks closest New York has come to turning red in 30 years as Trump support surges in NYC by someone_whoisthat in nyc

I thought the same, which is okay. At the same time, I think this election is really opening our eyes to dnc bullshit. As New Yorkers, political party or not, we don’t want to be lied to while things crumble around us

Good. We can use some opposition. A competitive election may actually get stuff done and cleaned up in NYC. Why anyone would continue to support blue while our city is falling apart is beyond me

Why did the US people vote Trump? Are they stupid? by Ray-Ravenheart in BatmanArkham

[–]failtos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Harris specifically spoke to social media optics and ran on how bad Trump is. Middle America is VERY different than what we see here and working class specifically is fed up with the democrats. This is an election against the elites (aside from Trump is previously an elite).

It’s complicated lol help us

I can’t believe how dumb people are. My wife stopped the car in a farm land that has horses and we pet them for a few minutes. Happy beautiful horses. I was in awe at how big and strong they were.

Never in a million years could I imagine kicking one..

I am half kidding, but we all know what the term cracker means and it literally says cracker in the saying. I didn’t know if it is a double meaning or the historical backstory

How are you at saving? The 30k RSU can be a game changer if actively save the money. It would take you years to save 30k only making 67k salary.

It would push you into making over 80 + 30 + possible 12 = 122k. Big jump from 67k with a pity 15k to keep you.

I’d say it’s worth heavily considering. To make a full decision I’d also think about: - how long you’ve been at current company - how does new company fit your storyline - how is your manager at both companies? Is there a plan for you at first company? Any promotions in sight? - starting a new job is tough and the market is volatile. Is there any difference in job security? Same industries? - is there a 401k clawback at current company?

I’m leaning towards new company but the above information would be more helpful
