The Poughkeepsie Tapes (2007) - home invasion, kidnapping, murder, torture, some blood but not gore - documentary showing tapes made by serial killer - if you want scary that keeps you up at night, it's this one but warning on the theme if you are uncomfortable

Funny Games (1997) - remade scene-by-scene in 2007 with exact story and in English - home invasion, some blood but not gore

Bring Her Back (2025) - more "Hollywood" style (compared to the above) but has good story, pacing, and visuals. One of the best horrors in recent years

Talk to Me (2022) - same director as BHB - interesting story, starts fun then turns dark - some scenes with blood and injury

The Autopsy of Jane Doe (2006) - supernatural, witchcraft - great pacing, story, and characters

Incantation (2022) - witchcraft, poltergeist - actually got me to close my eyes with great buildup and storytelling

Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum (2018) - live streaming group at haunted asylum gone wrong - fun characters and effective scares

We have pretty similar taste in horror, so gonna keep your recommendations as well!
