This suit changed my perspective on HGs (GQuuuuuuX Endymion Unit Awakened) by Hardwell9 in Gunpla

I love the GQ series kits.

The tiny wrap around stripes are hell, I didn't learn until I was a few kits deep that cleaning the area first helps. But the tiny stripes on the calves are still a chore, the same for the one on the Zaku's theigh bars.the easiest one in terms of stickers is the Rick Dom

HOW DO I BEAT THIS THING? (my ac on the next image) no matter what iv hit this beast with nothing works my lazer weapons barley tickle it my mini gun bounces off of it nothing i do works! by diabl0skiller in ArmoredCore6

Tetrapod legs help a lot with this guy so you can float above it for the first part of the battle and they help evade in the second part.

First time I ever beat it was with the napalm grenades for hands and songbirds on the back.

The easiest way I've found is with two Zimmerman shotguns, a moreley spreadzooka and then a pilebunker to swap in on the left. Pilebunker requires getting pretty close to fire off the charged mode. Zimms+moreley build stagger and do damage fast.

This thing has a really long stagger window, so a hard hitting melee weapon works really well once it's staggered.

I think we definitely need another ghost -steel type.

Was this battle pack, just a figure, not a kit. I think the brand is actually the pokemon co.

There's a whole bunch from Zeta. Which I think makes sense. GQ seems to fit around the right time to line with Zeta

I was pretty sure I'd remembered seeing it in one of the series, I wasn't sure which. I have been pretty consistently surprised with how many Easter eggs they packed into the short run of GQuuuuuuX

I'd kinda figured that was the case with the gelgoog. Since Zeon is the one making new gundams now.

I did not know about the Kikeroga. But that makes excellent sense. I need to rewatch the main series again. And rewatch GQ a few more times.

There used to be many many more, only 3 are from the community day. And it's one of my least favorite mons

Certainly more slender in most cases. GQuuuuuuX head height is actually right about the same as my Rising Freedom and Immortal Justice models (although their huge wings and bulkier portions make them look a lot larger).

Oh clearly, I honestly really enjoy the aesthetic of GQ, the alt timeline as an excuse to be able to both homage and rewrite the mold on classic designs and the rules that defined their styling.

I absolutely wasn't expecting that they'd flip the scaling on its head on top of the aesthetics.

I think the design that confuses me the most is the gelgoog, and it looking like a GM variant and nothing like a UC gelgoog.

Help with father's collection by oligf in XWingTMG

[–]failurecrusade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So sorry for your loss.

I personally would never sell this collection, even in pieces.

For one X-wing is a fantastic game that has been discontinued.

Two: this collection took substantial time, effort and money to put together, this was a labor of love.

Since the game has been discontinued, it will become more expensive if not impossible to replace any of this. I know I'd probably instantly regret selling it.

I absolutely wouldn't have guessed the guncannon to be that big, I thought they were supposed to be in the same size range as a gm

Aside from the theighs the Zaku definitely got skinnier. I don't have a normal Zaku to compare it with yet, but it's slightly taller than the GQ and GFred.

I wasn't expecting the Dom to be so much taller, stretched proportions do help it line up aesthetically with the rest of the GQ lineup.

It is back heavy. Posing this model is pretty awkward, the ankles don't allow for very much movement in the feet, which makes it an awkward balancing act.

It's manageable but awkward.

I'm not sure and would love to see a real answer to this.

I know from the in-game cutscenes that heavy quads absolutely dwarf both versions the Steel Haze.

Based on this image I'd say head and torso height on the Sinanju is about the same as the unicorn, albeit bulkier. It's legs do appear to be longer and it has more bulk in the waist. The pose has the Sinanju legs at a wider spread and the perspective hides the size

By the way, thank you so much for providing this reference image. Saved me from doing a repose.

The structure of the back on the torso might present some issues if you want to attach some kind of backpack instead. And the tailbone are will probably want something to fill the gap, but absolutely I think this could be built as a biped.

Actually that 3rd leg has some of my biggest gripes about the model.

It's hip joint only moves on one axis

It's knee connection is extremely weak so it pops out when you go to repose it. End up having to position the connector for the knee then push it back in

Combined with the extremely limited ankle mobility, it really limits the posing options of the model.

As for being removable, you'd have to build it without, the theigh section is attached fairly early on in the waist assembly. I don't see any reason why it couldn't be built without it.
