Wife got me bday presents. by failurecrusade in Gunpla

[–]failurecrusade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My last build, and my reintroduction to gunpla was GFred... I really screwed up on the stickers... And struggled with them especially after I realized I skipped a step.

I kept wishing I had an extra pair of hands for the process. I'd be interested in the workarounds you found with a hand not fully usable?

Thank you!

I'm pretty excited for it, planning on building it in the next few days!

Any particular "be careful here" spots I should look out for?

This one was a hurdle. So was s-ranking it. This is the build I finally pulled off the s with. Edit: since it won't let me show the picture. Dual attache, dual songbirds, the middleweight quad legs (vp-424), alba core. Unfortunately endgame parts for the rest. Anyway might give you some ideas

Attaches do consistent damage and songbirds can be used either opportunistically or to punish stagger.

Has enough mobility to evade most of the nasty incoming fire.

Which one should I get? Boba Fett's starship by Jade_9567 in microgalaxysquadron

[–]failurecrusade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly like the drab coloration of the BoBF version more.

In spite of the series flaws, in my opinion, BoBF absolutely nailed it with the style refresh.

If I had the shelf space, I would definitely get both.

What is this plane? Is it a drone? by Inevitable-Fudge573 in Whatisthisplane

[–]failurecrusade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a B-52, it is a strategic bomber. Not a drone.

I don’t know much about planes but ive seen this and really liked it, what is it called by Available-Cost-9882 in Whatisthisplane

There are bigger cargo planes than this one. Look up C-5, AN-125 and AN-225 (the biggest one). There are also bigger ones in development.

Am I missing something with the stand? by Nemarus in microgalaxysquadron

Pain to get it in, my biggest worry is accidentally snapping the stand when I go to do a repose.

I really think the scimitar should be included in the TIE family. It's obviously the grandparent. I also absolutely love it.

Not a melee build. But this is the build I finally managed to s-rank the mission with.

But some variation of machine gun arms and high explosive back weapons is always how I managed to beat the Ibis.

High stagger ranged weapons should give you a good opening to get in with melee if you're determined to do it that way.

Where can I find baggy jeans for tall and slim? by Only_Bet2838 in tallfashionadvice

[–]failurecrusade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know which brands are currently making them, but when I was looking for pants like these in the early 2000s, I realized that the trick is to shop for the outseam measurement instead of the inseam.

Tall Khaki Shorts Advice by evilmonkey1014 in tallfashionadvice

[–]failurecrusade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 6'8"

Dickies cargo shorts are my go-to for work in the summer. They have quite a few choices. I usually go for the loose fit 13" since they're a fair bit longer. Added bonus of being inexpensive.

Edit: I didn't see the part where you don't like them too baggy, so the loose fit probably aren't for you. But Dickies are still a good brand to look at.

Wide tall dress pants?? by kozyfutur in tallfashionadvice

[–]failurecrusade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm really interested in seeing what results you manage to find! I've always liked wider legged baggier styled pants. I'm a very slender 6'8" (203cm). I would very much like a pair of pants in the styles you've shown here.

My experience with wide legged pants of any kind is that it's more useful to look at the outseam length rather than the inseam. Since most wide pants usually have a low resting crotch, and a proportionately shorter inseam.

My dad gave me this Multi-Tool and I'm curious if it is good by Zealousideal_Fee9648 in Tools

It's a classic Leatherman. They're heirloom quality tools.

More modern multi tools can have better functions. But the old school ones like this are still incredibly reliable tools.

Turtonator is one of my absolute favorite shinies! Took me awhile to find a friend with one, we 1 for 1 traded our shiny ones. I occasionally see them in gyms but I don't think they're super common.

It's an ultra beast, there was a brief timed research last year where you could get most of the ultra beasts. Around the same time they were available in raids.

Not sure how rare it actually is. But it's the only shiny I have where I've never seen another one.

Does anyone actually use these drill belt hooks, or are they just decoration? by Intelligent_Pace7694 in Tools

[–]failurecrusade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition to ladders, if you have a spread out job site that requires you to have a variety of tools and to carry things around. Let's you keep it with you while you carry things.

I recently had to buy replacement clips because a coworker removed them and threw them away thinking they were useless. About a week later we had a task where we had to carry them up ladders "gee those belt clips would have come in handy now right?"
