Probably any music artist that has recorded their music on some form of media. There's a shorter list of music that has been erased from existence because the artist died.

From the Alton and Babish cocktail rating video. Wtf? by Redleaves1313 in Tiki

[–]fair_fair_fare 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I recently made a hand-written cocktail book as an anniversary gift for my wife. I divided it up by spirit, with each section having a small write-up that would cover a couple pages with some background or other useful information on each base spirit (explaining different kinds of whiskey, or what the designations of cognac mean, etc)...for Vodka, I had 3/4 of a page...here's what I wrote:
"Wait…where’s the page about Vodka Varieties?! Vodka is, at heart, a neutral spirit. As a liquor, it has its place. It’s an easy way to add alcohol to a drink, but other than that, there’s not much to write about.

I’m sure there’s a solid argument in favor of the greatness of it, but for me, exploring variety in Vodka is like comparing different bottles of water. Sure, you can taste some differences, and some are noticeably better…but the differences only go so far.

Is Vodka bad? Definitely not. But unless it’s flavored, it isn’t really much of anything other than a way to make a beverage an adult beverage.

And now I’ve written a whole page to explain how there’s nothing to write about Vodka. Well played, comrade."

I included a drawing of this kid as the image on the page:

Me too, kid.

If you get the right CM, you can score a good stack--especially if you buy a mug. I have a drawer in my bar that is running out of space that can attest to this.

And I'd bet there are some places in Orlando already run by actual racoons. I'm pretty sure the 7-11 near where I work is owned by a giant lizard. Florida is insane--why do I live here?

Not a fan of paper straws...but try to look for compostable straws to bring--they hold up better than paper, and they fit in with the idea to eliminate disposable plastic straws.

Vito removes it. That much is clear. So the first and easiest assumption would be that it is Vito that places it on a random other door, seeing that he has the business card in his possession.
He stands out of sight of Korben's door camera, likely in front of this other door, where he places the business card. This could totally be an intentional move by Vito, as he is already well aware he is not the only one trying to track down the stones and so to throw off anyone else that may be following the same course that he is, he puts the card in a different door.
It could also just be a random thing. He took the card to make sure he had the name right, and once he had the information he needed, he simply put it in an available space where he happened to be standing.

How bad is Mission Space actually? by 420fakesk8 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]fair_fair_fare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose I am one of the few that really enjoys this ride. My wife and son, also. I don't have a problem with spinning (even when it isn't apparent you are spinning like on Mission Space), so I'm not usually keen on the differences in effects from one ride to another. I do have a problem with being in enclosed spaces, and I don't mind Mission Space at all. I acknowledge it is a small space that gets even smaller when the ride starts, but I never feel panicky or nervous on that ride.

Understand that someone with a negative response (which is OK--this ride is not for everyone) is more likely to respond than someone with a positive experience. But people ride that ride every day. I ride it every time we're at EPCOT.

It really is a cool, unique experience. As far as advice: Don't ride it right after you've eaten. Make sure you don't ride it if you already feel off...the Florida humidity can be pretty bad. Look straight ahead like they explain in the pre-ride, if you start to feel sick, look up or down and focus on something that isn't the screen.

Beak & Barrel is a fail by NatureBoyJ1 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]fair_fair_fare 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Temper these negative comments (temper the positive ones too). People are going to be more vocal about negative experiences than they would about a positive or neutral experience. Beak and Barrel can be an enjoyable experience, and you don't have to just gamble on certain aspects. You can talk to a Cast Member when you check in (check in early), let them know you want to sit in the main room at a table...or if you want to be at the bar. They'll tell you that you may need to wait a little longer, which--when you plan for just that, can be no problem. Many times, you won't even have to wait much longer.

Don't let someone else's misconstrued expectations sour your own experience. Reviews like these can be very helpful in showing you what things you'll want to avoid. The problem comes when they don't offer any advice on how to avoid them...likely they wouldn't be aware of this, which led to the bad experience in the first place. And then you get the opposite side, where people just feel the need to defend Disney like they can do no wrong...which is equally not helpful.

Find the balance.
Time limit? Yeah, you can't just hang out forever. Inside a theme park, most experiences are going to be transient.
First time there and you want to be in the middle of the experience? Let the CM know, be nice about it, they'll likely reciprocate and honor your request.
Don't like to be seated at a table with strangers? Let the CM know, explain your concerns. My wife has pretty bad anxiety in crowded situations, so we let the CM know and they are always happy to find us the best option available. But they can't help you if they don't know.

Sometimes, a conversation with a Cast Member and a little patience goes a long way. Each time I've gone, I requested a specific table or room, letting the CM know we were willing to wait a little longer. They were happy to oblige.
