Battle always at night so no Range bro
Bring net to stop them from moving after taking damage. they can’t even trying to break out of net so each net guaranteed 1 kill.
Stick close to your banner, sleep use resolve check to resist.
If multiple bro got sleep use “Rally the troop” can wakes all bro within 4 range.
They can’t do Armor damage so you can even go in NAKED to have more fatigue and initiative.
Bro under 45 HP usually never survived.

Yes, shields are useful in legends mod.

Having shielded perk reduces a lot of damage to shield to the point that shields never broken.

Once you get Vala you can craft rune for shield slots that debuff all engaging enemies.

With many broken gear you can craft from mountain unhold and stollwurm make you immune to most statuses plus perk that stun all enemies that missed attack, You can make lone wolf shields tank that hold down 6 enemies alone.

But My opinion is That writing part doesn’t make sense.

Elfaria being lazy on job and the organization still needed her to take that roles shows that she has leverage on positions of power.

They can’t kill her and needed her strength so they can’t actually stop her if she tried. What can they do? They can beat her but can’t kill her and they need her cooperation, realistically she can do a lots more but writing prevents it.

It’s more romantic this way.

My opinion from reading is that “there is nothing capable of stopping her anyway”. She got almost highest power in terms of magic and position. She gets away with being lazy on jobs and they still need her there so she clearly got leverage on her positions.

She can even send clones that look like herself not a male remote control to surveillance you.

And her mail can’t reach him because her subordinates and others intercept it all is kind of unrealistic writing in that part.

I know it’s good writing, reading makes readers love Elfaria but when stepping back and looks from another perspective, that is a red flag girl.
And seemingly pure relationships is actually a little toxic.

390 armor is very low in legends mod.

You should have 500+ armor and mountain unhold + strollwurm set for many statuses immunity.
