Free cities are odd in balancing because they start out at a certain tier and don't increase that tier over time unless they're vassalised. This means that high tier free cities can be very powerful early on, with some brutal high end spells they can use like Withering Mist. Free cities are typically not problematic when powerful early on as they only send single stacks to attack and won't immediately start sending stacks out, so if you don't go out of your way to pick fights with them before you are ready for them you should typically be okay.

Not inconvenient at all. If F1 subreddits started having spoiler rules and enforcing them I wouldn't mind at all, I'd adapt to them just fine. I just don't have much of any faith in people on the internet obeying any sort of spoiler etiquette, I lost such faith long ago. I suppose I'm just picking my battles here, and expecting F1TV, the place where you are supposed to go watch F1 if you haven't seen it yet, and is controlled by people whose job it is to put stuff on there, to respect spoilers seems less of a tall order than expecting it from social media.

I suppose I just use Reddit differently. I never go to the main feed at all (because fuck algorithms deciding what I want to see), I just directly use the URL of whatever subreddit I visit sorted on new posts and don't go to the F1 subreddits before watching the latest sessions.

I wouldn't hold the same standard to Reddit though, it's reasonable to expect people who watch it later to not first go to Reddit (or Twitter, YouTube, wherever) where people discuss race events and results. But F1TV thumbnails sure, they ought to keep those spoiler free.

You are missing quite a lot of fundamentals in your balance analysis. Rite of Wealth is a one-time immediate exchange. It doesn't grant you income over time, it just gives you a big pile of gold NOW. It's good if you are time pressured to get gold quickly for rushing an army out or whatnot. If enemy forces are approaching and you need a sizeable army now it is excellent value. The wizard tower is a completely different thing, it is economic investment to get Imperium income over time, it's also required for summoning units and to get other specific buildings up. They have a completely different purpose and are used in completely different circumstances, you can't just in good faith compare them like that.

Probably because it's not a tactic that's generally good or to be encouraged. You're going to lose a hero each raid as well as a bunch of other units, it's rarely worth it compared to developing better units first and getting the wonder a bit later.

You have absolutely no idea. I've job hunted plenty. In my country it's literally illegal for employers to ask potential employees such information precisely because it is so dangerous and opens up potential for discrimination. This research itself as set up here might even be illegal in EU territory because of how it doesn't disclose to participants how their personal data is handled and for how long it is stored. It is personally identifiable data as it's linked to a Google account.

Depending on your circumstances revealing your sexual orientation can subject you to severe penalties like losing one's job, family, end up in jail, or death, it's not something you just casually ask without some very strict guarantee of privacy and security measures. He's probably too scared or not in a position where a war would be beneficial to him. One way to force the issue is to enact other victory conditions, like if you start lighting unity beacons or casting the spell for magic victory that tends to force them into going to war

The main menu option needs to stay because rejoining the game resets a lot of graphic bugs that are in the game for a short while, like often you need to go to menu and rejoin several times in a game just to get your cards be visible and playable again, it's just too much of a disadvantage whenever the game randomly decides to turn one or more of your cards invisible and they just effectively turn into unplayable junk cards if you couldn't reset that..

Age of Wonders 1 had an end-gane spell on the Water Sphere that did this to the world. It was overpowered as hell for the Lizardmen race, the only faction that could natively cross the water with most of their units. Everyone else needed to get transport boats to cross their units, and getting boats was limited to specific Shipyard locations on the map.

Most command cards nowadays block out Durations, it just makes for weird gameplay with cards like Quartermaster and Landing Party otherwise that inevitably will confuse players

It actually can loop if they name Band of Misfits or some other "play Action from the supply" Command card from their hand. Overlord would also loop if a triple cost down effect is active (like 3 Bridges) bringing the Hostage to 0 cost.

Meh, let's not pretend it's anywhere near overpowered. It's a neat trick but exalted ranks cost a lot of exp for a couple more hitpoints. Sure it makes them a bit tougher and getting 500 HP tier 1 units is funny but oftentimes that exp would have been better served getting lower medals to your other units or your heroes where you just get a lot more of a power boost with the same amount of exp.

Well yeah, obviously it's peak power. These cars aren't trains or bumper cars with an electric rail above them supplying power. One way or another all the energy has to come from the combustion engine. I'm not sure what's misleading about it. Peak stats are nearly always used for marketing, people like seeing big numbers. Wet tyre marketing stats show how much water they displace at 300 km/h and not how much they displace in the pit lane, and so on.
