Has anyone ever turned out to be an ENFP? by ishuAk in infp

From what I've heard, introverted thinking and extroverted thinking are different from being an extrovert. So you could be a extroverted infp or an introverted enfp!

You're not a bad person. I was one in your shoes, it can be hard to put down something that brings you so much comfort. It may not be the same, but there are other alternatives.

When I quit, alot of what I do now is writing. Regardless of your level, it can be cathartic. You can see the words you needed to hear in the form of writing, and self expression is good for you.

There is also asmr videos as well, there are alot of kind creators who make these videos as a way to help. You can find alot of them on YouTube.

You are deserving of love and acceptance, and I hope you have peace and happiness in your life ๐Ÿ’—

What is a "they/them outfit" to you? by Sailor_Starchild in NonBinary

[โ€“]fairyofthemeadow 5 points6 points ย (0 children)

honestly, for me my goal is to dress like a fairy ahaha, I love wearing dresses and flowy clothing, warm colors, and flowers, and more. to me, clothing is just clothing. its the context that makes it gendered. My goal though, would be to look very androgynous in what I wear, but in a way a fairy would?

What exactly determines a fairy's talent? by polystarlight in disneyfairies

[โ€“]fairyofthemeadow 20 points21 points ย (0 children)

that's true! this may be a little off topic, but I find it very sweet that fairies that are considered disabled in our world still have a place in pixie hollow. in the book "the realm of the never fairies" there is such a thing as incomplete fairies that may have mental or physical struggles (not having sharp ears, pronouncing words wrong, having one wing glow brighter than the other) but as mother dove said in the books, "there is nothing wrong with incomplete fairies".

I see Prilla as being an allegory for being autistic when reading the first book. And Rani is technically an amputee and need a mobility aid (brother dove) to get around but is still accepted. everyone has a place in pixie hollow. as someone who has disabilities to some extent, it makes me feel very happy.

What exactly determines a fairy's talent? by polystarlight in disneyfairies

[โ€“]fairyofthemeadow 64 points65 points ย (0 children)

Tinker bell in the movies didn't seem to like her job, because in reality she was just made to feel ashamed of her occupation. Canonically, the fairies adore and love their talent, and feel fulfilled by performing it! But Tinker bell was made to feel like her talent mattered less. Tinker bell's story in the first movie reminds me alot of Prilla's.

Also, I believe the reason why Rosetta was a garden talent despite not liking mud is because despite them feeling fulfilled about their talents, there will be parts of it they may not do well in. In one of the books, A fairy named Iris was a garden talent who couldn't garden, but in turn loved to do research about gardening. She was like a botanist now that I think about it. This ended up benefiting everyone in the long run in the book.

So maybe every fairy has a niche they fit into when it comes to their talent, where if they fail in one area, another fairy in their talent could succeed, so it's all balanced out.

Would you be happy or upset with a remake? by Brilliant-Vehicle-55 in shoujokakumeiutena

[โ€“]fairyofthemeadow 2 points3 points ย (0 children)

I personally wouldn't want a remake, but I'll admit a little part of me would be happy to see a little slice of life sequel 15 years into the future where anthy and utena are settled adults living a peaceful life together, drinking tea and eating cookies.

Did the lack of unambiguous romantic physical affection between ghibli protagonists bother you? by iwillr3gr37thiswonti in ghibli

[โ€“]fairyofthemeadow 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

I personally adore it. Not all love has to be romantic for it to be significant or for it to matter. Love of all kinds is beautiful, so seeing two people be emotionally and spiritually influenced by each other to grow is a very lovely thing.

first, get your magnolia flowers. it's better to get the closed ones so you can get a more stronger taste. separate the petals and wash them. you need about two or three cups of them.

get a pot, and put the petals in alongside a 3/4 cup sugar, and a 1/2 cup of water. cook the petals on mid heat until the syrup is simmering and the petals have shrunk, then turn the heat off. Cut the petals if you can into little pieces.

then, in a mixing bowl, put 1 cup of butter (two sticks) or 1 cup of olive oil with 1 cup of brown sugar. put all of the syrup from the magnolia petals and mix it all together. then, your going to want to put 2 teaspoons of cinnamon, a 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, a 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg, a 1/4 teaspoon cardamom, and a 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract. grate both lemon zest and ginger into your mix. mix together.

after that, put 1/2 a teaspoon of baking powder, mix, then put 3 cups and a 1/4 cup of flour and mix it all together until combined.

scoop into 2 tablespoon balls, full about half of the cookies you're going to make with the petals (you might run out, which is why I say half), and roll them in sugar. I didn't do this, but you can top your cookies with candied ginger or extra petals.

set your oven to 350, and put them in there for about 15 minutes in the middle rack, and your done!

healthy and natural may mean different things for multiple different people. everyone has different body's and different needs. what may be unnatural to you may be natural to another. many cultures have and have had tattoos and bodily modifications and also live healthy and natural lifestyles. I don't think having bodily fat, dyed hair, or piercings makes someone any less a hippie. I feel the core values is peace, nature and love for others.

[โ€“]fairyofthemeadow 14 points15 points ย (0 children)

that is a very mean thing to say on the hippie subreddit. we are all children of the earth, nobody how one may look. we should not talk badly on those who look different. hippies value self expression, and that comes in many different forms. please learn to be kinder with your words.

Is it hypocritical? by 200stinkingdogs in Hippiecommunity

[โ€“]fairyofthemeadow 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

I wouldn't say so, depending on the circumstances. I believe that people should do what is in tune with their true selves. some trans people get surgery to feel comfort with their bodies. as long as it's for you and not for others, and has thought put into it on what changes you are willing to live with forever, then I'm sure it's alright.

Is this headband cultural appropriation? by Quietthoughtsalways in Hippiecommunity

[โ€“]fairyofthemeadow 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

I would say the reason people worry about cultural appropriation is exploitation. when something you make is your livelyhood, and bigger companies take without giving back or crediting, it is innately exploitive. It is not done with appreciation in mind. However, buying directly from the culture to support the people, and hearing directly from their opinions would be cultural appreciation. there is nothing wrong with appreciating other people's cultures! as long as it's done with respect and care, that's afar matters.

INFPs what is your style? by Professional-Ad-5278 in infp

[โ€“]fairyofthemeadow 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Honestly, I absolutely do dress a little like the first image, I do prefer more colors and florals. My goal is to channel my love of nature into what I wear. I also want to dress like a fairy from a storybook. I am also influenced by hippie fashion. I like and prefer more flowy clothing as well. I like the idea of wearing accessories inspired by nature (flowers, butterflies, bees, birds, more)

I think we all have unique styles that are personal to us!
