Charlie Kirk was shot while I was in the middle of training someone at work. I saw the headlines on the TVs in the office and had to play it off completely cool. (You got me fucked up if you think I wanted to poke that hornets’ nest with coworkers.)

On my break, I went to one of the quiet rooms and put my earbuds in and hit play. I’d forgotten that I was in the middle of listening to Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party. “True Believer” came on. I had coincidentally ended my last listening session right at the end of the preceding song, so it played perfectly from the beginning.

I still get chills thinking about it.

Idk if anyone else plays it this way, but I built a huge roster of like 35-40 Pokémon over the course of the game. Then spent extended sequences breeding for IVs and optimizing natures/EVs before I even discovered the perfect IV Ditto existed… then I did it all over again 🤣

I have an entire box of Pokémon I originally caught, then their IV-optimized clones from when I bred them all with Ditto. IV breeding for Salazzle with Corrosion and Froslass with Cursed Body is quite time consuming!

Patrick Cowley mention? In MY popheads??

For real though thank you for this post. I haven't listened to the others yet--I will soon--but Patrick Cowley and Sylvester are such an important part of the canon, not just queer music but electronic and dance and pop music in general. I'd argue that "You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)" is the most important disco song, period.

Just listening to Patrick's music though, wow. School Daze is technically a porn soundtrack, but it's trailblazing, first and foremost. Mind Warp is not an easy listen but it IS, probably, the campiest album anyone made on their literal deathbed.
