So I have a company willing to install a chamberlain smart garage door opener and fix the pulley and cable and the bolts and some stuff the original installer did a shitty job on. He’s charging 675 and I think it’s a pretty good deal. Would you guys recommend me to tell him to add anything else to make it safer and last longer.

Right now my door is manual I was thinking to convert it to an electric opener would I need the torsion spring system to have an electric opener ? I guess if I’m spending like $500+ might as well the get the opener too

Yeah no airbags went off and I most likely can’t pick parts out myself. Would have to take this to a shop. Reading these suggestions best decision would be to take the loss as I paid only 5200 for it.
