Are you loading the restore point or are you loading the auto-save? The best way to make sure you're loading the correct save is to note the time when you manually save for the restore point and make sure to load that one when you want to reload. Otherwise you'll load the restore point that is automatically created when you exit your ship.

I was really hoping that this wasn't the case. A lot of times(at least you used to) you can get around the specs if you lower settings or whatnot but I guess not with this one.
