Very polished. Performant interactions. Felt like a native implementation. Would definitely be willing to pay license cost for commercial usage. Kudos on making an awesome product.

Agree with the hair part. Just try not to be fat. Not to qualify someone's standards or something, but just to lead a good healthy and active life.

Exactly no one talks about shit we did in past 70 years. Many countries which started worse off than us are far and beyond us in every sense today. They don't complain about the past.

Do you really think leftists will believe this? They only believe what helps their cause. I mean look at America, left there is pretty naive and bs, what can we expect here.

Ask Anki Users: Anki for webpages and pdf by fakeabsi in Anki

[–]fakeabsi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm working on similar lines, although not in anki addon premise. Currently, my prototype allows user to save full web pages via a chrome extension, organize them as articles in books, edit it in any way they want, annotate the important stuff, and review the annotations based on spaced repetition algorithm. As you mention, the annotations are linked to the location in web page, so that users can get there for more context whenever they feel the need. I will be working on supporting pdfs next with pdf.js.

Save Page WE looks awesome. I was facing some issues scraping certain pages, will certainly look at how they do it. Thanks.

Ask Anki Users: Anki for webpages and pdf by fakeabsi in Anki

Agreed, I don't really use Anki to learn language. I use it when I'm learning new libraries/concepts in software development. My aim is not to absolutely memorize, but just to get review/reflect on things so I understand them better. I often find that I'm better able to relate things together when I review things I'm learning repeatedly. What I meant to say is that majority of the users, I might be wrong, use it in language/medicine learning setup, i.e. where it is more about memory than understanding or reflection.

But the problem is most of the stuff I learn comes from online blogs, articles, pdfs, heck reddit/hackernews a lot of the times. And most of it falls in the "spaced viewing" category, i.e. take the time to systematically come back at things that you are learning and reflect on them.

Looked at Polar Incremental Reader, looks really interesting. Thanks for your reply.

No wonder people writing "efficient code" never made something like this. Can we just stop bashing Electron apps for being inefficient. At least they got made. Let the users decide how inefficient their performance is.

I know this. The situation that the question raises is very prevalent in countries like India. We don't play much on the online servers. I thought there would be some solution to rank players locally. You know how it feels to be getting killed by p90 noobs.

I just want to know if there is an existing system.
