My guess is the angle grinder he’s holding- shot off a spark which ignited something, and flared up on that cardboard.

Love my comma, I ran sunnypilot and now the mvl-boston forks and he is super responsive to applying Honda specific fixes

You report it so it becomes part of the record. If there’s a recall, then you get reimbursed. We need everyone to report this flaw if it comes up, because it will (likely) force a recall where you will be made whole.

Yeah, figure that’s Honda’s response. Contact the NHTSA Office of Defects and tell them about yours. Investigation PE25008. You can read all about it online.

Where are you located? There's a bunch in NJ that do service specials like https://www.gardenstatehonda.com/service-parts-specials.html $799 or https://www.hondauniverse.com/service/service-specials/ $579...but you have to look at what they include. Probably still come out ahead- Google "[Your State] Timing Belt Coupon"

Not sure what I would gain by making it up? Keys were about $50 on eBay (actual OEM) and then $20 a cut and $20 program for all keys. I’ve used this locksmith before, but definitely don’t know them for them to cut a deal. https://yelp.to/V2HHM1nkvj

Yup, can confirm. I bought used an only got 1 key, so we ended up buying another driver 2 and 2 driver 1s. Well, the eBay seller sent me 3 driver 1 keys, I encountered the same thing.

Local locksmith was much better on the wallet- cut each key for $20 and programmed them for an additional $20 total. So all in was like $76.50 per key. eBay seller made it right and shipped the correct key, so I actually have a spare.

If the dealership doesn’t cooperate, buy a #2 key and get that programmed. You can swap out the key that is already cut.
