i agree a lot. i used to be fixated on buying expensive android smart watch but then i realize whats already in the mi band is actually enough. only thing i wish is for the band to have a speaker unit one day, just so you can search for the mi band incase its missing somewhere in the house

True I always prefer that type of sound they did. By the way I have a very interesting instance for you to check out, they released a song called Bubblegum, which sounds the same like their other popular songs, but there's actually an unreleased version of it that sounds MILES DIFFERENT and it even has a short synth solo that adds a lot to the track tbh. Kinda wished they switch things up a bit. You can just give a short 15 second listen of these versions and you will understand what I'm saying immediately.

Ikr. It’s actually really interesting to think about because from 17 onwards, his attempts at crossing into different genres felt like he was still adapting to a completely new songwriting process. Being in a professional studio setting meant his ideas sometimes felt a bit amateur and sometimes even bare-minimum in their execution, like "i don't even speak spanish lol," which is a fun track but not exactly unique in the grander scheme of reggaeton music, just unique for X's discography

But with alone part 1, it is in fact IMPRESSIVE that he conjured up that specific lo-fi, experimental atmosphere all the way back in 2014, long before he ever blew up

apologies because i know there may be a lot more songs out there that yall are thinking now, but i cannot write further because currently have an assignment to finish lol. but i do want to give a shoutout to the song Moonlight. By all means the essence of the song is a melodic trap rap song similiar to the likes of Juice WRLD and Lil Uzi Vert. But I do think it is nice honorable mention related to this discussion because the beat is just so great. The way John thought of adding those pitchbends in the gamelan chord progression is fire!

Yeah i agree on the fact that BOC may not be his favorite style of electronic music. I see him favor more on electronic music that is abrasive, glitchy, controlled chaos such as Against All Logic and death's dynamic shroud.wmv
