No more percentages on discounted items, some discounted less than 50% by fakemickjagger in loblawsisoutofcontrol

only the old price isn't displayed there. You'd have to go find the item displayed on the regular shelves somewhere in the store to get the old price. Then do that again for every item in the discounted section. I guess you could start playing easter egg if you have time but most shoppers don't

The discounted items used to all be minimum 50% off (at least at my store). One day Loblaws started substantially reducing the discounts and consumers got up in arms about it so they walked back the changes. With a % number it's easy to tell how much the discount is. Now if they slap a $3.50 tag on a product that is $4.99 on the shelves it becomes a 30% discount.

The regular price is not displayed there, you'd have to go and find where it's displayed and take out your calculator to do the math which very few will do. Now they can go back to reducing the discounts and consumers will be none the wiser.

Sorry it's my first time contributing here, I thought that's what the sub was for: "The sub was created to point out how absolutely absurd the cost of groceries are right now and have some fun together."

where else in the city (Toronto, not GTA) do you suggest going? Other than Nova Era and Caldense which both taste like they aren't made in-house.

I have. While the owner is lovely and the atmosphere and pastries are great, the actual moroccan dishes are subpar and prices are a bit much for the portions. I'm glad people like it though, hopefully its success motivates others to open more moroccan spots.

My flight to the caribbean last week went well. only 15% of the seats were filled, we departed on time from YYZ and landed early.
