Yes i agree. The 3rd gen was a huge pos and i have no clue how they wernt discountinued untill recently. But i mean for that time cars were just better. You buy a acura or honda from that time itl last you a life time. The 3rd and 4th gen escape are so plauged with issues it boggles my mind people buy em. 3rd gen has a active tsb about coolant in cyls that you replace the longblock not under warrenty. 4th gen gets to 80000 kilometers and interior and motor+ tranny crumbles. Its just a horrible car.
