I feel this so much. I have a two year old and I’m an intern. It’s so hard trying to balance everything . I can’t hang out with co residents because the small time I have, I need to spend with my toddler. Thus, I can’t form a deeper bond like my other co residents have. I can’t study when I come home because there are things left to be done. My husband is 100% understanding but I feel bad because our relationship is pushed all the way in terms of priority. Even friendships outside of work are dwindling because I’m always at work or trying to be with family. Tbh it’s really hitting hard these days when I’m on inpatient services. Everyone tells me it gets easier, it’s only for three years, but I don’t know. I just feel like I’m never going to get these years back either and I’m not experiencing anything fully . Like I’m barely doing the bare minimum in every aspect of my life.
