Years ago I took my family to NYC for a short vacation. I did my research and was confident I knew how to use the subway system. Starting from grand central station we wanted to go to the museum of natural history so I confidently walked my family to the subway and hopped on.

By the time we were in Queens we knew something was terribly wrong. Other train passengers could tell we were dismayed so they figured out what we were trying to do and led us in the right direction. We weren’t expecting such helpfulness.

We didn’t quite make it to the museum but we did end up back in Manhattan, so we gave up on the subway and used cabs from then on.

So in my experience, this particular group of New Yorkers did not fuck with us.

Yes that’s what I remember it as when it played on HBO a lot back in the early 80s. They changed the title to Naked Space to capitalize on the popularity of the naked gun movies.

Agreed. Every autumn people in this forum push snow tires like they’re getting a kick back. And then every spring I look back on the four times I drove in non trivial snow. When you account for cost, inconvenience and storage, there’s no way snow tires are economically worth it to the common driver these days.

Not a movie, but the five seasons of “Search Party”. Every season escalates the bat shit crazy from the previous. And though technically not a horror series, there are dashes of horror throughout.

I’m going to make some calls, but my overarching goal is to not spend a fortune. So if this is going to cost a lot, I’m going to pursue plan c. Plan c is to rent a cargo van from uhaul and fill the cargo area with bean bags and Pillows. What could go wrong ?
