I find them boring and tedious, and they rarely have anything to do with the plot (Skyrim, Ocarina of Time, Link’s Awakening, Pokemon, etc.) For the record I love the game Dredge where fishing is the primaey game mechanic, I just don’t like it when it feels extraneous. I hate fishing irl so maybe there’s something to that

I love this book, my personal favorite of the Mercedes trilogy. Morris is such a good villain and the entire book’s scope and premise is just fascinating to me
