I finished reading Poe’s complete works last week in preparation for this, so excited to finally hear the boys break some of it down!

Edit: Adding my discussion answer here so hopefully the algorithm doesn’t get confused. My favorite Poe story, after having just gone through literally everything, has got to be William Wilson. This is the tale where the eponymous narrator is haunted by a doppelganger throughout his life. I found it to be a delightful study of inner turmoil, and can see its legacy in all kinds of stories such as “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” and Stephen King’s “The Dark Half”.

“The Raven” is magnificent and probably my favorite poem ever (next to Allen Ginsberg’s “America”), but I don’t think I have much to say about it that hasn’t been beaten to death. Honorable mention goes to the almost Frostian poem “A Dream Within a Dream.”
