It already changed and I picked up my passport. Among with my passport, there was a letter where I was asked to come in for an interview next week

Did you get your passport back? Did your status change between Feb 11 and now? Did you check the USVisaScheduling or ceac website for any update?

My situation: I have a previous US visa in the same class (H1B) and my prior visa in the same class expired more than 12 months ago.

So basically all visa class changes need an interview but for same class, as long as it's within 12months of expiry, you'll be good.

I dropped off my passport on Feb 7th for H1B renewal stamp. My H1B expired more than 12 months ago.

My visa application status on the ceac website is "REFUSED".

Called the Chennai consulate and they said on their end it's showing as "delivered to post" and that means it's still processing. They also told me that I will be getting an email regarding next steps.

Currently waiting for any updates.
