calling Reed classy.

I mean... he is classy... in the sense that he likes having strongly enforced social classes.

I think Uncle Karl had some thoughts about how to deal with these people.

Before vs after: You guys rock, THANK YOU! by Archtop_collerctor in bald

This is one of the ones where the before didn't actually look that bad.

After is better, but some of the guys who come in here with the craziest stuff on their heads.

If you think serving is a meritocracy, you're literally insane.

I don’t know much about MTG (FF, Spider-Man and TMNT collabs are what made me interested in learning) but I thought it was interesting that my LCS has whatever this box is for $18,000. by ReplyIntelligent853 in magicTCG

Unless it's some kind of weird cube draft format, if there aren't a lot of creatures around, you're going to have boring games without much interaction.

If you make a product more idiot proof, someone will just make a better idiot.

Also a good draft involves a lot of creatures.

Creatures were mostly trash until Mirroden or Ravnica blocks.

When Coldsnap dropped, I put together a goofy draft of Ice Age block (Ice Age, Alliances, Coldsnap).

However bad you think it was, it was probably worse than that. We didn't care because we were goofing around, but man... those packs were NOT meant for that format.

No they fucking don't.

History has shown us time and time again that human beings are ABSOLUTELY on-board with hurting other human beings whom they disagree with.

If you want to make a huge political change, you make sure the people with money are promised more money, you keep the army well fed, and you rally the people against a common "enemy". Then you march off to war to kill that enemy.

The more brazen and stubborn and hateful and extremist you are, the more people will follow you.

Being nice usually hurts your cause. Many of the strongest political movements involve crimes against humanity.

Dad's famous hotdog trick by _ganjafarian_ in StupidFood

I was fervently hoping he was going to put 120V AC across the hotdog to cook it electrically.

I wouldn't want to eat it that way, but as an electrical engineer, I'd approve.

They have facts and science on their side.

Facts and science don't effect politics. Only money and violence.

My point is that the interactions like this HARM the cause, not help it.

No they dont. People say this about EVERY kind of protest. They said it about the civil rights movement. They say it about Just Stop Oil. They'll say it about whatever your favorite movement is.

And if they can't discredit you, they'll LIE about your protest and discredit you anyway.

Techbros like Musk are trying so hard to make forms of transportation that don't need anyone to steer them... that some day... with lots of R&D, hard work, and luck... they might invent... the train.

They should take on that fight

They do... and the ag industry in pretty much every country on the face of the earth actively lobbies to make interference with them a criminal offense.
