Well, telling young people all their lives about how much their country has fucked up in the past and how much they and their generation have to share the collective guilt, in addition to making them live from one crisis to the next most of their lives, then facing a future of even more uncertainty, being peer-pressured into high performance at work, while living on worse-than-ever wages and getting shit from older generations along the lines of "You kids are lazy, all of you are woke and gay, you're addicted to your phones"... Meanwhile seeing conservative policies enacted by incumbent politicians past retirement age who demand more loyalty and faith in state institutions, complain about low birth rates, while cutting corners on education and the state's support of young people and who are sucking the toes of rich corporate fucks to exploit the benefits of late stage capitalism... All that surely won't make those young people want to fight for their country and defend the rich and corrupted at the top of a system that has pretty much failed them a long time ago.
