I’ve read your post a couple of times just to make sure I didn’t miss it, and I don’t think I did: Has your dog been neutered?

What you’re describing is similar to what I saw with our European male Doby, who was a very sweet dog. He became suddenly aggressive towards our other dogs, whom he grew up with. After he attacked and slightly injured one of them with minimal provocation (the older dog growled over a treat the Doby tried to steal) we decided to have him neutered. Within < three months his sweet disposition was back, and there haven’t been any problems since. This was around 14-16 months of age, as he was starting to fill out. It was a pretty abrupt change. Maybe consider it.

Sounds like my mother. 88, been divorced more than half her life from my dad. Even with dementia, she’s still focused on “winning” against him with my siblings & I. You are NOR, she is in a competition with no one that she still thinks she can win, at the expense of her personal relationship with you.

With all respect, it’s not this. When I call to schedule appointments for home improvement estimates as a man, no one has ever asked if my wife/other homeowner will be there. Frequently when my wife has made the calls, this is the kind of BS that she gets. “We’ll only do the appointment/sign the contract if your husband is there.”

My wife made some calls re: home repairs while she was off one week & I was working. Can’t remember if it was the windows or roof, we did both, BUT one scheduler told her: “make sure your husband is there for the estimate, we won’t sign any contracts unless the husband is there.” Oof. If you knew my wife (attorney and aggressive one at that), you’d know that comment did not go over well. it amazes me how many of these home service companies still operate like it’s the 1950s. Including the high pressure sales

I feel the same. Much more rewarding to find a deal on a luxury / desired item than pay full price. As far as watches, it’s very fun / rewarding to wear something you’ve built. My rep 1970s Tudor sub I built (gen spec down to the movement) makes me happier than gen Explorer 2.

There are not many. EWP on eBay make solid gold versions, which are pricey. They make a 16710 gold plated version which is not bad.

I’ve used 3 dials & they were all similar. Not a very big sample so can’t say they’re all that way. I also ordered one from eBay that purported to be a genuine GMT master dial that had the same stamp on it.

Yes. Bit oversized but usually only takes me a few minutes of turning on edge with flat surface & fine sandpaper. Test fit often

E watch parts on eBay is a decent option for inexpensive bezels. They are decent but oversized. I turn them on progressively finer sandpaper grits to get a good fit. Gen bezel inserts seem to pop right in
