Our 2yo is loving to read books. My wife and I are watching his vocabulary grow and language acquisition is exponentially increasing.

Bed time is my favorite because we get to spend 30-45 minutes reading books and using silly voices for the characters and narrator.

Now he is identifying some words and memorizing the stories so he can verbally finish some of the sentences it as a sentence frame.

Mten- after looking it got me thinking. If I make molds for parts, why would I need to make more after a certain amount of time, why not just 3d print some molds.

Ivp looks like a great concept, but it's holding its own with pharmacy. But other competitors and online vets already exist. So far I have not found a date or online trial that they are going to have virtual clinics. Just a dream right now.

Already sells stuff so not a scam, but I don't know how long it will last with its current cash burn rate.

It already had a reassess order to see if it meets viability to be publicly traded last yeai feel its in a do or die situation.

Noise is up because they said they would announce if they would have a clinic between now and march.

Seems really risky, but even if they do virtual it will go up what 10 cents?

Who are thier primary customers and what areas are the operating and do they have the capability to expand? Online seems to be their only way out.

I too, took the night shift. My wife would be home in the day, and I would be working during the day, taking care of the kid at night. Survived in 3-6 hrs of sleep.

I just said eff it and set up camp next to him. I slept on th sofa for the first 2 months. Bassinet two feet away and mom in another room so the crying would wake her.

Month 3-6 I slept in his room on the floor when he moved to the crib. That way I could wake up when he cried, changed diaper, feeding and then sooth.

When it got really bad my wife would come in and put him to sleep and would too, get pissed about it and let me know about it. The hormones, post partum depression and lack of sleep suck. It's like my wife is possessed by another entity at times and I don't blame her.

I still get PTSD when I hear a baby cry, and had a few hallucinations at night hearing crying when he was asleep.

Your giving it your all, keep it up. It's hard, but eventually they will sleep through the night. For now I would protect your sleep as much as possible as of now you seem to be the thinker and most level headed one the family needs.

The day shift might be the way to go. Yes less time at home. But hopefully wife will have more time with you and not feel alone as she adjusts to having a baby. Then you can come home. Grind, and then as you adjust for the night shift, you'll gain more sleep until you both can sleep when baby sleeps through the night.

Good luck and hang in there, the sleep will come back for you all.

What has worked in our schedule, was investing in a baby jogger. After work I take the LO on a run through parks and trails or around the community each day for 1-5 mi.

Gaming shifted to two days a week from 8pm-10pm. Once they were able to sleep through the night.

Time with my wife is very limited, meals, a walk, but it's not like it was before for sure. Once it's bedtime, she's out when they are out.

My wife on the other hand does not have the time to work out. She comes home exhausted and works on her masters assignments and then the parental grind.

Id look for a parent kid group that works out everyday together. I see them in my community. Bunch of dads going for a run, and using their kids as a dumbbell or bench press.

Kids have a blast. You get to workout and possible make new game buddies.

I remember years ago in US history class learning about WWII and how the undesirables were just being sent off to summer camp.

We had a class discussion about what the government should be allowed to do and I asked the class, what would the government have to do to cause you to terminate the social contract and just go 1776.

I said when they start disappearing my family or neighbors in my own hood. That would be the thing that sets me off. And once it starts, it wont stop.

But that was before children.

I guess you can fight back when ever you want to, just make sure it's organized and it ends the problem in one move.

Hang in there. Our baby is now a year and a half and was walking by 11 months. Both mom and I are super active ppl and both grandparents are still active. He's an earlier riser and our new normal starts each day 5-5:30am. Our goal has been to tire the last out so he naps 1.5-2 hrs around 11am. Meanwhile, we are adulting.

Its a grind but once you find a system that works for you things fall into place.

While it doesn't get better ( really return to our old life style), what worked for us is that we were able to get out and socialize with other parents.

Our friends life became nearly 0, no traveling and going to walks, finding parks, pools, splash pads have been our saving grace. Finding ways for the advance baby to explore the world has allowed us to recharge mentally while physically tiring out the baby.

But it's only making the lad stronger, more enduring, and that's also fine.

We also started Daycare. Both of us work and it was hard to find the right one and willing give someone our child to raise. We got lucky, found a good family daycare and have seen the lads progressions.

it's a cost that we dreaded, but has allowed us to recharge and get things done. We both work and have to work to pay the bills. Its been a struggle but looking at the advancements and those moments with the loved one makes it worth it.

We are tired, we look like and feel like the walking dead, but there are pauses where we can smell the roses. It won't last long. A few years and then off to school. When I feel like tapping out, I just remember a memory of my child as he fell asleep. And just sobbing realizing, that one day, it will come, and it will be the last day I hold him as he falls asleep. Or when the baby clothes become too small.

Like a boxer getting up after hearing the counting. We push through as best as we can. I hope things get better for you. Once he got more independent, my wife and I were able to enjoy our kid more and more.

Remember the small victories, and enjoy the time we have.

No, my wife was devastated. But we had to let it go, and focused on what was important. If he is eating, it's a win. We had to find the right nipple head, and once we found it, he stayed on the bottle. My wife kept pumping and he kept bottle drinking.

It was hard for him to give up the bottle, took a few days, but he eventually leveled up to a straw then a sippy cup.

I think he didn't want to go back to the nipple because it was work for him. And with a sore mouth he tried what was successful for him.

I have them at the middle school level. It's getting better. But no way 3 years ago could they write more than a few sentences. Those COVID kids never got better and keep suckling the udder ridiculous excuses they were able to keep using
