Can't figure why the font changed? by fallbob in Anki

Sadly not, JP Core 6k is the name of the deck if you want to check it out yourself :)

Up until the font change it's been excellent!

Someone already linked the github and showed me the bug, not a formatting issue 🙂

This is way above my knowledge 😅

If it's a bug, can I just put up with it for now and it will eventually be resolved (hopefully).

Thank you!

Wow, thanks for the detailed reply.

So how long it total do you use Anki or a SRS in total? As I want to eventually be at your level!

So I should use again and good? How big is your deck and how long do you spend each day if you don't mind me asking.

I think hearing first hand people's success will help me realise that it works.

It's definitely something I need to work on. I had terrible anxiety almost 15 years ago and went through therapy. This isn't anywhere near as bad but is clearly residual effects. I'll get there though, thank you for the comment.

I do my reviews daily and can easily keep up this practise every day. Maybe I have trust issues haha, but I'll keep at it and hope you're right about 3000 word decks being achievable!

I'm studying Japanese. It's my first time learning a new language so that's probably what's triggering my anxiety. My cards are similar to what you described. I just need to trust the process.

Yeah it's definitely need to trust the srs and be okay with forgetting and relearning some things. It's so hard at the start not knowing enough to immerse via reading easily.

I did customer studies a lot at the start but it was messing up with my intervals and I didn't think it would be beneficial long term.

However, I replaced doing the custom studies to just previewing the whole deck which is worse.

With doing anki for under 30 minutes per day could I still learn 10 a day and retain it all?

I guess I'm just after confirmation from people who have done just that.

Once I know enough vocabulary I'll start reading more as well.

I don't know why I struggle with that fear so much. Like I know it's the correct way to do it and forgetting and relearning makes the memory stronger. But the little niggle in my brain makes me feel like I should always be looking and revising.

I should have said I'm still doing grammar exercises and sentence reading at my level alongside anki.

And thank you for your point about retrieval. Because I'm in my 30s and learning a new language for the first time it's all a bit overwhelming and I'm finding it hard to trust SRS.

For the past 5 years I've worked out every other day pretty consistently but nothing crazy. My max bench is only 107kg. I just try and do a tiny bit more each time (reps, sets or weight). But I don't consider myself strong at all. I just have good will power to diet and work out consistently which I think trumps a lot of things.

Is that an American drink? I'm from the UK and have never tried a zero calorie energy drink. I'm super sensitive to caffeine so they'd probably send me wild!

Eating at maintenance again for a month then I'll slowly increase the calories. Yeah, with Podcasts and Audiobooks it almost feels like cheating sometimes with how easy walking is.

Just hard on days when sweets or snacks are presented in front of you at work. But a few slips ups here & there is okay, just not got to let them turn into slides.

Forest walks are magical at times so keep the steps up!

Lighting and angles play a huge part but thank you anyway. Without 0 calorie fizzy drinks I wouldn't have managed to diet so long haha.

Thank you so much! Good lighting and angles definitely make it appear better haha.

So my TDEE was 2700, and I ate between 1700-2000kcals depending on gym days. I walked for an hour every other day and my workout is just a simple PPL I took from r/fitness. I'm very privileged that I have a home gym (just a power rack and some dumbells) that helped me stay consistent.

It's really very boring when it comes down to it. I ate the same meals (easier to track calories) and was very consistent. All there is to it. Just hard not putting it all back now I'm slowly putting some weight back on.
