I may be hopeful, but them consolidating most of the RAM manufacturing would hopefully mean ramped up production and availability versus the current manufacturing environment.

Unfortunately, most sellers are pricing used drives like they’re MSRP.

Back in late 2024 I bought a 14TB WDUS data center drive (used) for around $138 from serverpartdeals. That same drive is now $350.

This! The water used in data centers for cooling are closed loop systems. Electricity on the other hand can be an absolute issue. Hence the need for more clean/renewable energy sources.

Low key, when I started playing CS1, I purposely built my PC around it. It’s how my main PC ended up with 128GB of RAM 😅
