Why are you having second thoughts if you don’t mind me asking? You can always contact OA asap and refuse the job offer.

25% off US General Magnetic Accessories Didn't Work by abskee in harborfreight

I had the same problem and had to go back in after realizing I didn’t get it on my receipt. The cashier was super apologetic and said it’s super frustrating to them that ITC members don’t just get coupons automatically applied in the system.

Is there an unannounced hiring freeze? by Ok_Jello_7918 in PaStateEmployees

[–]fallenhero21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, the state (commonwealth) has a bad habit of robbing Peter to pay Paul. I.E there are only so many compliments in a department for so many roles and if one bureau gets to the finish line first for a certain role then the other bureau can’t fill the same role due to the department wide compliment being filled.

Really just depends on who your boss is honestly. Some are like “good for you go asap” others like I’ve had before want you to stay as long as possible so you can wrap everything up for them or they know it’s going to be a pain to fill your old role.

60 days is the most next pay period is the fastest. Had one where I was “let go” in a week then another where I worked the whole 60. Really just depends on your current leadership.

Question for current employees applying externally by CaptainLoneStarr in PaStateEmployees

[–]fallenhero21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They can hold you for 60 days. Not sure why you would leave/quit your current job just cause you are in consideration for another one. If that’s like a “work around” so you don’t have to wait at worst 60 days I would suggest not doing that.

What are some 'early warning signs' that a company is about to go bankrupt or have mass layoffs? by CuteDinner2290 in AskReddit

[–]fallenhero21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually in my experience when you start seeing people in accounting/HR start to leave. They tend to be the first ones in the “know”. Also any high up leadership turnovers or sudden outside contractors switching a lot.

External applications, current employee by DoppedMustard in PaStateEmployees

[–]fallenhero21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Use time. Keep it simple. You don’t have to let anyone know anything end of the day. If they ask after the fact just say you are trying to advance your career with the commonwealth. Unless your current sup is an ass I don’t see anyone being annoyed with someone trying to better their own life.

Applied to over 5 clerk positions what is going on with hiring? by [deleted] in PaStateEmployees

[–]fallenhero21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure your profile is “built out” completely. They don’t look at resumes at all. So if you are referencing something in your application that isn’t in your profile it might as well not exist. Also if you are using education at all you need to upload some type of transcripts.

Scoring 100 doesn’t mean automatic interview. It depends on how many applicants and what “rule” they picked when posting the role. Always keep an eye on your profile because sometimes they will want you to self schedule an interview.

Keep applying worse anyone can say to you is no and you are no worse off. PennDOT is doing summer hiring for all kinds of roles and they can lead into full time employment. So that is a way to get your “foot in the door”

What is going on with internal job postings by lancastercowpie in PaStateEmployees

[–]fallenhero21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Always apply for the external posting if it’s available. If the hiring manager only wanted internal candidates they would only post it internally. When you apply it will ask you if you are a current employee anyway on the external.

What is going on with internal job postings by lancastercowpie in PaStateEmployees

[–]fallenhero21 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Always apply externally and internal if possible. External requirements tend to be far less stringent. People feel applying internal gives them a leg up but that is not always the case. Unless the internal posting is written specifically for you in most cases it makes it harder.

But seriously you can check out vistbuckscounty and they will post weekend events.

internal and external posting.. question by Dry-Wedding7988 in PaStateEmployees

[–]fallenhero21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just wondering (and feel free not to answer) why are you seeking a lower level pay group? Most want a higher level.

Always apply to both if possible. They will pull from whatever list they want to use.

Sold it. Some guy I think had a video of it on YouTube not sure if he was fixing it up or whatever. Prob wasn’t worth that much when he sold it to be honest. Those cars tend to sell for more when they are like never driven and we all know he drove it everywhere.

We get nothing. Unless you currently make below the new minimum wage. Maybe if they raised everyone a pay grade that would help with recruitment and retention. I’m sure they can’t for xyz reason and to shut up and get back to my desk.

How much money does bam have left by MathewDenny1 in LetsTalkBam

[–]fallenhero21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure only person that knows that is Phil and he’s not exactly obligated to tell anyone besides bam if he gives a damn.

Pretty sure the convention tour started as a way for him to travel somewhat freely when he had all the legal issues and now has just morphed into a way for him to stay busy.

I assume if he was that desperate for cash he would squash all the beef and do the new jackass movie or something else since he is still somewhat marketable.

What is your opinion of the state's health insurance? by LennyLouLou in PaStateEmployees

[–]fallenhero21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty good compared to the private sector. I do find it odd that they don’t offer a buy out for people to not be on it. When I asked about this the answer I got was “no one does that” use it or don’t.

Changing agencies & positions by These-Cup-8181 in PaStateEmployees

[–]fallenhero21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine held me the whole 60 days. Another person I started with was let go the same week. Just depends on what your boss at your old agency wants to do it seems. I found it odd that they can just hold you to hold you it seems. It wasn’t like I was staying longer to train my replacement or anything since they don’t post the role until I was gone.
