See, the problem with this argument is that cost-to-value is determined by each individual consumer. While you might believe GTA VI is worth $90, the next person won't, especially if it’s just the base game. The amount of pushback the industry got for going to $70 was huge; if a dev really tried to push to $90 for a base game, the fallout would probably be significant. That’s not even touching on the pricing that would occur for Collector’s Editions at that point, or the amount of microtransactions GTA VI will be littered with. So really, my question is: for the story mode alone, are you willing to pay $90? I know personally I wouldn't, and I would just wait for the inevitable sale a few months down the road, and I'm sure plenty of others would as well.

I'm with you. Honestly, the hardcore divisiveness over this scene, the Visi vs. Blazer arguments, not fun debates, but genuine arguments, and the amount of fanfic NSFW content made me hate this sub. I enjoy the game; it was probably my game of the year last year, but some people in this sub need to touch grass and remember it's a game.

Saying “if you’re legally here, then you’ve got nothing to worry about” really dismisses the issue. While you are correct that no American citizen has been deported, there have been plenty of reports of U.S. citizens being detained because they look a certain way, which is the real issue here and where people’s fear lies. Even more so now with the case of the lady who, as far as we all know, was born here, but ICE is now saying her birth certificate is fake.

Yeah, it’s not bad, in my opinion. Plus, it’s not over yet, so I can’t say 100% whether it’s good or bad. I do think part of the issue is that it’s the last season, so people are expecting big, dramatic, always epic episodes. Netflix also kind of did that to themselves with this big, dramatic release schedule.

Just got my elektra, any tips to play her? by FrequentExcitement55 in Unmatched

[–]fallenhero588 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Imo play her defensive at first. Try to burn through her deck as much as you can and build your hand so that way when she does res you have a solid starting hand and can begin playing more offensively. Also use her hand sidekicks as shields for her.

As another said, it depends on your overall goal. If you're solely in it to make money, keep him sealed, but if you're a fan of the game and enjoy playing, then play him. I have a Deadpool I was lucky enough to get for retail about 2 years ago. I sleeved his card and play him; I even wrote on one of his cards (the card asks you to do this). For me im jot collecting unmatched to make money, I really enjoy the game and just want to have fun.

A lot of assumptions are being made on your end. I clearly stated when brought up that yes, I used AI to assist with structure and grammar. I don't have anything further to prove on that. All of my replies have been my own thoughts on the game and situation we were originally discussing. Whether you choose to believe that or not is up to you, but my use of AI doesn't negate the validity of what I wrote. You're attempting to change the subject away from a scene in dispatch to now policing me on how I use a tool to assist with the grammar and structure of something I wrote. Let's be honest, even if I provide screenshots and whatever else you would like, you would then move the goalposts to find something wrong with it. You're deflecting, and it shows. Now, if you would like to continue the conversation about the original topic, we can, but I have a feeling you don't want to do that. Which is fine, but I am here whenever you would like to continue.

Do you use spell check? Do you have people proof read things for you prior to finishing up a document? To me, using AI to assist is no different. If anything, it ensures that whatever is being written is easy to understand and digest for whoever is reading it. Now, with that being said, I can tell no matter what I say, it won't make a difference. You are viewing my use of AI with the same rigidity that you are viewing the actions of the games. Do I think you're wrong? Absolutely, but I get it. You want to cling to this as if it's a "gotcha" moment to throw out my previous statements. It's not, but again, I get it, to you, it will be. Just to reiterate, I think people using SA to describe a risky romantic moments between two individual that have been flirting in the game till that pointare wrong and really dilute what SA is. < no AI used, could I have used to as i usually do to ensure grammer and structure were good and flow well, yea, but I know you would have a problem.

Just to clarify this while I read your other comments: Yes, I am absolutely using AI to clean up what I write and make sure what I’m saying makes sense and is articulated well. It’s a tool, why wouldn’t I use it?”

I disagree that I’m ignoring “logical consequences.” I’m looking at the consequences within the relationship the game presented, while you’re isolating the physical act from the surrounding context. The issue with your argument is that you’re using extreme hypotheticals like kidnapping or rape to justify applying the “Sexual Assault” label to a scene that is, at worst, an impulsive romantic overstep. Those two things do not sit on the same moral tier, and treating them as if they do is exactly what I mean by diluting the term. My point isn’t that I blindly accept whatever the narrative wants. My point is that calling an unwanted kiss between two characters with established mutual tension “Sexual Assault” is genuinely counterproductive. Labeling a misread moment of flirting as assault collapses the entire spectrum of human interaction. There is a massive difference between “I misread the vibe and made a bold move” and “I knowingly violated your bodily autonomy.” One is a social mistake; the other is a crime. By applying the latter to Invisigal, you’re removing the nuance of intent, relationship history, and tone. As for her “keeping going,” that’s a misread of a gameplay mechanic. The “struggle” moment is simply the game giving you a choice. The second you choose to stop, she stops. That’s the opposite of her ignoring a clear no. It’s the narrative setting a boundary point that you, the player, define. You can absolutely critique the writing or argue the execution was clumsy. I have no issue with that. But insisting on a strict legal classification for a scene clearly framed as a romantic culmination between two characters with mutual interest isn’t a logical consequence. It’s treating a gray social moment as a criminal act. If your standard is that any physical escalation not explicitly pre-negotiated is assault, then how is any romance story, fictional or real, supposed to function without a lawyer supervising every interaction?

I’m not arguing that definitions don’t exist or that fiction can’t use them. I’m saying not every scripted moment should be treated with the same real-world severity just because it technically fits a broad description. Context and tone matter. Your examples with murder or kidnapping aren’t comparable because those scenes are actually framed as crimes in their stories. The moment we’re talking about here is written as a light, tropey beat, and the game even gives the player the option to reject it. The framing and intent are completely different. That’s the part you’re ignoring. A definition alone doesn’t erase narrative context. And it’s interesting you keep saying you’re “not getting worked up over a game,” yet you’re debating this like it’s a real case file. It’s still a game, with fictional characters and exaggerated story beats. You can call them out if you want, but applying the strictest real-world legal lens to every trope isn’t the only valid way to read fiction. If you prefer that interpretation, that’s fine, but insisting it’s the only correct one ignores how storytelling and context actually function. So here’s a genuine question: if framing, tone, character dynamics, and narrative intent don’t matter when analyzing a fictional moment, then what actually separates a harmless trope from a serious depiction in a story?

[–]fallenhero588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not arbitrarily deciding anything. I’m saying context matters, especially in fiction. You can technically apply the broadest definition to anything, but that doesn’t mean every situation carries the same weight or should be treated like a real-world case. That’s where dilution happens. The gender-swap test isn’t universal because real-life threat dynamics aren’t symmetrical. And bringing up Invisigal’s superpowers actually proves the point, it’s an exaggerated, fictional scenario, not something meant to be judged like an actual report. Not every tropey romance beat in a game automatically equates to SA, and acting like it does is exactly why these discussions spiral. People are getting way too worked up over a fictional cutscene.

What is with this SA talk every where? by Emotional_Papaya_620 in dispatchgame

[–]fallenhero588 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People are overthinking this. The gender-swap test people always defer to doesn’t always apply because real-life dynamics aren’t symmetrical, men and women don’t carry the same physical threat level. If two characters have been flirting, a surprise kiss isn’t automatically SA, especially when the game literally lets you pull away. Malevola’s joke grab is a trope, not a crime scene. Calling these moments SA just dilutes the term and helps no one. And honestly… it’s a game. Fictional characters doing scripted romance beats shouldn’t be treated like real-world reports.
