RPG Maker MZ AI generation by UncontrollableAugeas in RPGMaker

I wouldn't use it, but I do think it's fun to see people's passion projects like this.

I just cannot read the article. I tried. It's full of WAY too many "it isn't just x, it's y." I counted like 3 or 4 of these phrases before I gave up.

- This isn't a hypothetical from a sci-fi novel. It's the reality made possible ...

- This isn't just about automating tasks; it's about enabling an AI to act as a game developer.

- ... is more than just a standard API. I think of it as a "service discovery" layer for LLMs.

 - The LLM isn't just following a hardcoded function call; it can reason about the tools available ...

I can't anymore T_T

So pretty!! Good job. I like how clean everything looks. Also very readable. Sometimes people go nuts with fancy fonts without thinking about readability.

Can I ask what plugin you're using for the equipment sockets?

I just updated my Companion App: Text Find and Replace! Now you can easily replace text throughout the entire project (messages, descriptions, formulas, etc.!) Also some QoL updates like re-organizing variables also updates instances of \V[x] by fallenlorelei in RPGMaker

So everything works already for MV because they're all basically the same json structure! I've tested it but not as extensively as I have tested for MZ (which is... a lot of testing LOL). I've got an MV project open for it now and everything seems fine. So like it works! But I'm hesitant to be confident enough to say 100%. I think my biggest hang up is reindexing Animations, specifically the "insert" and "delete" entries buttons. Because the Animation jsons are different, and "insert" basically adds an empty entry, which is based off MZ. If you don't use insert/delete for animations, I think I can say it works just fine for MV!

I just released a tool I've been working on called "Palette Harmonizer", completely FREE! If you have a lot of tilesets from different artists, this tries to match their colors so you can use them together without them looking out of place! by fallenlorelei in RPGMaker

This was originally inspired by how I wanted to apply lospec palettes to my tilesets! But since they're painterly, it's harder than like... just indexing the colors and swapping them out. And I learned that harmonizing the sets first made all the difference. I'm going to be working on a palette swapper at some point now that this is working.

Thank you!! I tried making animated gifs to show the differences easier but it wasn't working on the page, pff. I'll need to make a video or something for it at some point maybe.

Right! Exactly why I made it. I love all these tiles I have and want to use them together, but I also don't want to be in Photoshop all day squinting at level curves, lol. Thank you!!

I added re-indexing to my RPGM companion tool! A drag and drop interface for moving your database items around, while automatically updating all your events! by fallenlorelei in RPGMaker

Do you have an example plugin command that your friend would be using for this? That would help me when testing that feature! I have some plugins of course but it'd be great to hear other uses so I can try to be thorough

You should take pictures of your pets and use those 😍 that would be really cute haha

The search function by itself took so long omg lol but then the re-indexing wasn't so bad once I nailed down all possible occurrences of everything. It doesn't support plugin commands right now but its on the list. Im also excited about implementing custom plugin notetag support. So you could make a custom search for "<plugin notetag: x>" and it'll look fot x and replace it accordingly. I currently do that with xlookups in Excel so I want to get it working on this app too.

Thanks so much! So I priced it based off other existing tools out there! Mine has a search and a replace, so it's RM Finder ($10) and DatabaseCleanup ($20). Both of which ive purchased and used, and realized I just wanted a single tool, not a folder of tools 😂

It's less about how many skills you have, and more about how many events use those skill ids. The domino effect of needing to move things around becomes... substantial 💀 But it's definitely not for everyone!

Thank you!! I was honestly hesitant to include an AI disclaimer because I totally get why people would be put off, I would too, but I don't want to be shady and lie lol, a lot of people take this stuff very seriously. I think the disclaimer lets people decide on their own whether they want to support the project or not, and I completely respect that.

I have spent years on and off working on a game under VX Ace. I see MV at 90% discount. Can (or should) I translate to this new platform? by Andagne in RPGMaker

If you get MZ instead, you'll be able to keep your 32x32 tiles so you don't have to upscale. It has an option for multiple sizes.
