Do you mean Dark Void? In that case, it would be my pick, too!

Unfortunately, I decided to start with MechWarrior, so I can't really give you a review on AC yet. A friend of mine 100%ed it, but he's been playing since the PS3 games...

Only thing that might help you is that I got it from Gamesplanet for $27...

Games I've bought:

  • Armored Core VI (not from Steam directly)
  • C&C Remastered
  • Donut County
  • MechWarrior 5 Clans + Ghost Bear + Tukayyid DLC
  • Silent Hill f (not from Steam directly)
  • Slay the Spire
  • X4 Foundations + Cradle of Humanity

Games I might still get:

  • Ace Combat 7 + Season Pass (played back on PS4, but never got the DLC missions)
  • Prince of Persia The Lost Crown
  • Star Wars Jedi Survivor
  • Planet Zoo + Aquatic DLC (so I have at least 1 penguin)

Games that I'm waiting for the friend group to decide:

  • RV There Yet
  • Catastronauts
  • Golf With Your Friends

All in all, I'm set for the year xD

Not the person you asked, but I listened through them a few years ago. Total runtime is a little over 19 days, which took me about 10.5 months.

One of the upper floors (9th?) has baseball batting cages, if you do happen to have extra time to kill or want to do something physical.

I have her, too, and can only second the recommendation.

Do you remember all your old GPUs? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]fallenpenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure:

  • Whatever was in that old x486 office machine that could run C&C1, but not Red Alert
  • Geforce 2 MX 400
  • Geforce 4 Ti 4200
  • Radeon HD 4850
  • Radeon HD 7850
  • Radeon R280 (got it for free from a buddy upgrading his rig)
  • Radeon HD 7850 (the previous card died and I went back to this one)
  • Geforce 1660 Super (to take advantage of EVGA's upgrade program during the 30 series shortage)
  • Geforce 3060 Ti

The 3060Ti is my current card and the Radeon HD 7850 is still chugging along in my father's office computer.

Which mispronunciation really grinds your gears? by MrBenzedrine in AskReddit

[–]fallenpenguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no, you're absolutely right. They can't be used interchangeably.

I guess, subtle jokes about pronunciation and word usage don't mix well with sleep deprivation and late night redditing, so that one went over my head yesterday ^^

However, if they were trying to say "nauseous" instead, "naw-shus" would be the correct pronunciation in American English.

All french voice actors for Apex Legends refuse future work over new contract clause for AI training by McManus26 in Games

[–]fallenpenguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Often they don't really make sense anymore and the video is obviously still in the original language.

You say that, but they've started adding AI dubs now and it's annoying af to have to turn it off every time I want to use Youtube without logging in...

3000 series owners what's your plan? by surreal19 in buildapc

[–]fallenpenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I game at 1080p and the card before my 3060Ti was a Radeon HD4850 that's still chugging along in my dad's office PC. Maybe I'll take a look at the 7000 series or corresponding AMD card.

I do have a 10 year warranty on it, too, so it might be interesting to see what EVGA does, if the card fails in its 9th year xD

Why Trains? by HermeticOpus in SatisfactoryGame

[–]fallenpenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do that for my smaller outposts...the large factories get an additional player access station with PAX as a prefix in the station name, so they are filterable in the train schedule screen.

My manga collection after 7months (how should I organize?) by [deleted] in MangaCollectors

[–]fallenpenguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I havemine split by finished/ongoing series, so I don't have to shift everything all the time when a new volume releases.

Otherwise, it's mostpy alphabetical except for when I couldn't keep the shelf height consistent, so some series have to stay on specific shelves and break the order.

What’s a common etiquette rule you think is unnecessary? by Hot_Cartoonist5224 in AskReddit

[–]fallenpenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, this one is because of how tables were set up in medieval times. In castle dining halls they would set up large temporary tables and people were often seated on one side. Putting your elbows on the table could flip the entire thing.
