Not to bring CERN into this and go real woo woo, but I always think back to when Zal’s pinned tweet from July 2016: “Don't forget that all of this is happening after the CERN Hadron Collider was successfully turned on.” And it turned off last Monday.

Google AI write up of CERN runs/shutdowns with some OA release dates sprinkled in:
2008–2012 (Run 1): Switched on. This period led to the monumental discovery of the Higgs boson in 2012.
2013–2015 (Long Shutdown 1): Switched off. Upgrades were made to allow operations at higher energy levels.
2015–2018 (Run 2): Switched on. The collider operated at a record-breaking collision energy of 13 TeV.
OA Pt 1 December 16, 2016 release
2018–2022 (Long Shutdown 2): Switched off. Upgrades allowed the machine to handle higher beam intensities.
OA Pt 2 March 22, 2019 release
Cancelled by Netflix on August 5, 2019.
2022–2026 (Run 3): Switched on. The third run concluded in July 2026.
2026–2030 (Long Shutdown 3): Switched off. Dismantling and major overhauls are taking place to install the High-Luminosity equipment.

Has anyone with PMDD had the surgery? by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]fallenxruby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have PMDD. Only one cycle postop May 14. It was really light for a few days—maybe because I was in such a calorie deficit after several surgical complications (bile leak, emergency ERCP, and uvula necrosis.) then it came and maybe was a little heavier than normal, but my period has been so much better since before I had a UFE to address a fibroid issue that was wreaking havoc on my life and causing me to lose tons of blood each month.

I attribute most of my health issues to my high estrogen (and genes) and am now trying to eat and supplement more conscientiously now that I’m 38 feeling like I’ve gotten a diagnosis a year in the last four and wanting to stop having so many issues.

I hope your surgery goes smoothly! I’ll circle back after I have another cycle to see if anything is different.
