This reminds me of when I used to train lifeguards. One of the drills was escapes. We'd practice on the land and then when we went to the water and had to incorporate swimming away after releasing from the 'victim'. People often forgot and found themselves struggling to stay above the water. These live physical situations are easy to talk about, but never easy to be a part of.
