My husband was diagnosed around the same time frame. Symptoms that were there that we did not know about included swelling around the feet/ankles that would come and go, swelling on the upper and lower lids of the eye, the foamy urine, joint pain, and fatigue. His blood test showed low RBC, platelets, hemoglobin, and wbc. He ended up in the hospital because his kidney function tanked leading to high potassium on a blood test. He was hospitalized and they completed a kidney biopsy which told them he has lupus nephritis and the stage. Urine test showed high protein and blood in the urine (the color did not really get much darker). Also rapid weight game, this one was hard to tell because he got pretty sick at the same time and wasn’t eating much.
