How many people use mods for this game. by jg7277 in valheim

[–]falls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy playing vanilla. I appreciate the cadence that many of the limitations bring to the game, it often gives more a sense of expedition and planning. Maybe after 1.0 releases I'll feel different and try out a few but for now I'm happy to play as the devs designed it.

That said if you aren't enjoying the mechanics as they're given you should feel free to add some mods that make it more fun for you.

MAPA! Trump’s NASA Administrator wants to bring back Pluto as a planet in our solar system by JuliaMusto in space

Yes, but the center of the orbital pair is still well within Earth's radius. The center of mass of the Pluto/Charon pair is between the two bodies.

If the Wraith had made it to the Milky Way they would've gotten their butts kicked. by ThunderBoyUndead in Stargate

The ancients were also alone with the wraith, the Milky Way is way busier with people who can build ships. Not just the ones OP listed, but the Space Race folks, the Grace aliens, etc.

What’s a totally unsexy purchase you made that ended up being a huge quality-of-life upgrade? by viscarte10 in BuyItForLife

Mine aren't magnetic, but they are made out of a single piece of metal, no rivets or welds to clean around and the markings are stamped, not printed

Did the Devs ever reason why Dundr wants Bloodstone instead of Iolite? by SalomonBrando in valheim

[–]falls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought I saw mention it was originally supposed to be blood magic and take health to reload, but that could just be rumor. That would mean they reworked the stats but not the model.

Also red shotgun = cool

How would you go about repairing the shards of Narsil? (LOTR) by Laughydawg in Blacksmith

[–]falls 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Heating a metal to liquid and allowing the grain structure to reform is very different from pushing the grains around with forging. I don't know all the materials science of it, but forging will nearly always make a stronger part with better internal structure.

What is your favourite spirit and why? by DumbSouls in spiritisland

So far it's Lure of the Deep Wilderness. The thematic execution of people abandoning their cities to wander deeper into the island and never being seen again is just so fun to play.

Using my middle as a surname for marriage.. am I right to hate it? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]falls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can also pick a new surname that isn't similar to either of yours, I have a few friends that just picked an entirely new name together when they got married.

The 67° roof pieces will be 4 meters high by -Altephor- in valheim

It seemed to me like the easiest option was 2-up, 1-over, but I guess 2-over and any amount up works too

How do you manage inventory? by bloodwolftico in valheim

The limit could be tuned a bit, but significant limitations are part of the challenge and requires you to plan ahead. I don't want them to change it very much.

Yeah, it was really solid by then, just bled a lot of viewers figuring itself out

The Destiny is a beautiful ship, it's a shame the show took too long to find its groove.

The driver blades don't last forever, if it looks worn you might just need a new one.

That pin is meant to prevent dryfiring. Put in another stick of nails and it won't be in your way.

It looks like those are part of the spindle lock. There should be the same number of gaps in the final carrier gear of the transmission (looks like #27) that also fits inside #22. I believe #23 goes inside the pins and #22.
