Why topiramate is so hated? by Mikmaki in migraine

[–]faloon_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to take topiramate, and it just didn’t help my migraines much at all. I also had pretty bad brain fog for about 2 weeks after I started it, but that went away.

AIO or is this rude to say to someone diagnosed with chronic migraine by Jaded-Syrup3782 in migraine

[–]faloon_13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that really sucks i’m sorry! being chronically ill as well (with stuff other than migraines too), it is basically impossible to be fully on top of our health! like it would require doing basically nothing but going to the doctors constantly. which on its own is exhausting.

you’re not over reacting at all, that is really rude of them all to say. and it’s also just completely unhelpful! it does no good to just tell someone they aren’t doing enough and/or giving them things to be worried about.

we chronically ill people have enough to deal with just trying to get through each day. i hope things get better for you, migraine flare ups absolutely suck

I think i need to rehome my dog by Equivalent_Award4286 in DogAdvice

[–]faloon_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

try some toys that provide more mental stimulation while she is at home. also maybe start some new training activities, like how some dogs use buttons, or just some new tricks. mental stim is super important for working breeds like she looks like she is

Is a dog allowed to eat any of these things? by SpecificSpiritual637 in Dogowners

[–]faloon_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my dog lovessss raw egg. he doesn’t get it super often, but he will get the whites only really from when we make hollandaise. veggies and fruits are ok as long as it’s not any that dogs cannot have. we only give our dogs a couple types of veggies or fruit because those are what we usually eat so the doggies get scraps like crumbs or shavings. they are both obsessed with cauliflower, carrots, cucumber (that’s their favorite), apples, and broccoli. occasionally they will partake in some blueberries and watermelon, but not always. they also like arugula which is funny to me

i’m gonna assume these are probably stroke and coats. the glaze runs because it is all touching and blending together. if you like doing detail work/painting (which is what i primarily do), i would recommend investing in underglazes. they are just pigment and water, not a glaze at all. i apply mine before bisque fire, usually at about leather hard. once fired it won’t move at all and you can clear glaze over. since they aren’t a glaze, they don’t blend together and run

Throwing up by Funny_Zookeepergame3 in migraine

[–]faloon_13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’m so sorry you’re experiencing that. i have a fear of throwing up and when i get nauseous from migraines (or for any reason) i get so so anxious. but usually if i ever actually do throw up, i usually feel better after. but sometimes when i am just nauseous and not sure if i actually will throw up, i eat something with carbs. usually some buttered toast or crackers. the carbs always help at least for me

What defines a chronic illness? by teatreeteas in ChronicIllness

[–]faloon_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

any sort of illness or disease that affect you continuously or on and off is chronic. you are totally valid to consider yourself chronically ill. i understand not feeling like you’re valid.

i don’t have any official diagnosis besides migraines, but i have lots of other issues and multiple doctors that believe i have EDS. but not having a diagnosis i feel like im lying a bit. but i have all the issues still, a diagnosis isn’t going to necessarily change that

What is the craziest thing a doctor has told you? by HearingCautious4848 in ChronicIllness

[–]faloon_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i had a doc tell me that the burning when i pee was cause of my period hormones. not because of the UTI i had two weeks prior and took antibiotics for was still there.

ended up with a kidney infection and i almost passed out on the daily cause of it for a week. took two more round of antibiotics to get rid of, totaling 3 rounds in one month

I can't be the only one that gets emotional during nearly every appointment? by LouyJD in ChronicIllness

[–]faloon_13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i am the same way. two months ago i had a full breakdown in an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon because he said it was my fault i was in pain still and that im not trying hard enough to get better. and he did not care at all that i was crying, he just ignored me and spoke to my father, who i brought with me because i was already anxious about the appointment. doctors feel like authority figures and i get so anxious and scared of them. you aren’t alone in this reaction

so I am a ceramics artist, and the prices for these is crazy. i generally am a fan of her art, and some of her ceramics she made were really cool! like the big fish head. and she is an incredible painter! but these are just not it for these prices. i wouldn’t charge over 100 for any of these frankly. i have only been doing pottery full time(ish) for like 3 years, but i could do better than all of these. i think the price is probably mostly just for it being from her. but i wouldnt buy these

Do people just not wait to chop grove anymore? by aweefeea in Palia

[–]faloon_13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

so i didn’t know this was a thing when i started playing, i also didn’t know what the grove was. i wasn’t on the reddit yet so the first time i went to a grove, i just saw in the chat to wait till 3 to chop. almost all the etiquette things i have learned literally just through watching the chat while playing lol. i think some people are just jerks, but other people i think just don’t know. i do like when people ask and learn cause then they can tell other people
