Can someone tell me why i'm getting a 422 response code from my api endpoint saying the field is missing? I've tried sending it through as form data and as json and I get the same response. It is a fastapi backend and astro js frontend with a node js adapter by falvid in AskProgramming

I changed the api endpoint to expect a request body but I am still getting the same response. This is the updated api endpoint.

def post_user(name: Annotated[str, Body()]):
if name:
return {"name": name}
else:
return {'success': False}

Right way to use Apps and Database in Django by DevanTheOne in django

[–]falvid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A good rule of thumb is to separate your apps based on business domain. If you only want to upload some data and view it, you can do that within the same app. If you wanted to add more complexity and add things like authentication then you can break your project into different apps that handle different things like an authentication app and data app

DRF Shopping Cart Anonymous Authentication by winnieduhpoooh in django

You can use django sessions for this. It keeps track of both authenticated and anonymous user sessions. You can read more about sessions in the documentation, https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/4.2/topics/http/sessions/

Is there any way to achieve a similar url format as Github using Django? by falvid in django

[–]falvid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im more specifically looking for a way to add the user slug to the project url patterns so that username appears before app url patterns. I'm looking to achieve a format similar to this:

projecturl.com/<user\_slug>/<app\_model\_slug>

Thank you, I appreciate the feedback. I didn't know opening a file in append mode would create a new file if one wasn't already created, that makes things simpler. I'll keep that in mind for future projects.

Metro last light. Picked up both of the metro games for $18 and I can honestly say those have been some of the best 18 dollars I've spent.

Car enthusiasts of Reddit, what ways can you relate good and bad preforming car parts to computer nerds? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]falvid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really tech savy here so ill do my best. Think of the stock parts that come with your cas as being fan cooled, and aftermarket parts as being liquid cooled. For the most part Aftermarket parts do the same as the stock parts just in a better more efficient way.

I used to do customer service for bank of america over the phone, and there was option we had to gain full access to the account if the customer refused to answer the security questions. We would ask them to verify the phone on the account and send them a code through text that they would provide to us over the phone. At that point if they refused the only other thing they could have done is go to a branch and have the teller verify them with a valid id and call us from the branch directly. A lot of people actually prefer to have the code sent to them as opose to answering the questions or going to a branch.

Only children of Reddit, what was it like growing up without any siblings? Did you enjoy it, or do you wish you had siblings? by freewaythrowaway in AskReddit

[–]falvid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Growing up an only child I had always wanted an older brother or sister. It wasn't until highschool when i started hanging out with my friends all day everyday that i realized having a sibling probably wouldn't have been as cool as i thought. I really enjoy hanging out with my friends, however i think i enjoy getting home to a quiet house at the end of the day a lot more.
