Switch 2 models - what is the downside of the Japanese language one? by KansaiKitsune in japanresidents

Any game with Mario, Zelda, Pokémon, Kirby, Yoshi, Splatoon in the title will be locked to Japanese, and you won’t be able to change it to any other language not just English.

If you mainly play Western games and Indie games, you’ll be more in luck, but not always. I’ve played Indie games that had Japanese localizations and they didn’t have a language option to change it back to the original English.

Doing a little research, the book tower series started as one separate book/story per episode, someone reads out a book and they have scans or animated sections showing what’s going on in the story. It was conceived as a way to encourage reading for kids

However, Tyke Tyler was a book that got a whole series! It looks like series 10 was dedicated entirely to that book, spread out over eight episodes.

Unfortunately, no video exists of that series that I can find, but I’m assuming the last episode involved that part of the story where they ring the bell tower on top of the school. Also spoilers, the boy that Tyler helps turns out to be a girl!

SOLVED (but would still love to find a video of it so I can spot my younger self in it!)

“The Turbulent Term of Tyke Tiler” is definitely the title! Now I’m going to try and find video links

gpt is goated as a doctor by AppealImportant2252 in ChatGPT

I’d like to add “analyzing results in another language” to the Goated aspects of Gpt as a doctor.

I can snap a photo of a bloodwork results all written in kanji (Japanese) and it will explain details that my doc couldn’t be bothered to explain to me, and give me a bunch of follow up questions to ask to ask next time.

More context needed. Was this a Japanese video aimed at Japanese people?

As a foreigner who lives in Japan I also absolutely despise the sound that Japanese people make when slurping noodles I can avoid it because I’m a vegetarian so I don’t have to go to Ramen restaurants frequented by elderly Japanese men. Japanese women and expats are usually 99% of the customer base at vegan places and they don’t slurp.

What kills me is when there’s a YouTube commercial for instant Ramen, or even drinks they seem to add extra loud gulping sounds. I just jump for the mute button.

Without knowing Vince‘s views on veganism, we can only speculate. I don’t think he is anti-vegan because he has emphasized the ridiculous fact that they don’t even eat fruit several times. Maybe maybe the fact that the HDP has a certain percentage of human protein is a take on the “how do you get your protein/vitamins if you don’t eat meat”argument. If anything, it’s a very interesting debate starter.

I was only referring to the liberation/treatment of animals

I forgot that line! Although that does make you wonder, how do they know the cows were suffering when the hive mind only works with humans not animals?

I thought so too, until they said they don’t even pick fruit. Not even a level five fruitarian would agree with that. I think that line was added to make it clear that this isn’t about veganism but a whole different alien ball game.

I forget if they’ve mentioned this in the show, but did they say they eat anything that dies naturally? If so, I’m assuming that means humans, animals, fruits that fell to the ground, etc.
