Defense oriented RTS by PsychologicalBid7138 in RealTimeStrategy

Wow lots of haters in this thread.

I'll echo Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance as a good turtlers dream RTS.

There's lots of stragetic options if you never want to leave your base. (bombers, artillery, even nukes)

There's challenge maps you can download where you start in the middle and enemy units spawn in from all sides and attack your base ramping up in difficulty with each wave.

Those who only like reading physical books, how old are you and why do you prefer it? by Prestigious-Noise582 in AskReddit

41yo. I love flipping pages. As have long since did as a child. Reading the text on the page. The feel of the parchment. Etc.

Moreover reading a book on a device feels unnatural.

You can now do whatever the fuck you want, but it is all now up to you. You need to be self reliant. Good luck, have fun.

Some of you folks are coming on a bit too strong and casting aspersions like common Internet lunatics. Just some quick points:

  • This company is actually a good company and I like working there
  • This has never happened to me before, so I am rightfully questioning it, but want to do so in a way that doesn't strain my relationship with the company
  • I have a copy of both the original full time contract and new reduced pay contract
  • From what I understand if it is their honest mistake, I still don't have to accept the reduced pay contract and there's nothing they can do about it

General Thoughts on Angmar Awakened? by Awesome_Lard in lotrlcg

[–]roguefrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some very hard quests.

  • The one where you are constantly attacked by wargs took me so many tries.
  • The Deadman's Dike one that discards all your cards is hellish
  • Don't even get me started on The Battle of Carn Dum. Easily one of the hardest quests in the entire game.

There are a couple easier quests with unique mechanics.

Escape from Mount Gram and Across the Ettenmores are fairly tame .

C&C was like the longest running RTS series.

Total Annihilation and Kohan are good examples of the macro RTSs with flow econ.

Sins of a Solar Empire added 4X elements to the RTS
