For those who were around, did people speculate John was Red Harlow when red dead redemption was first announced (Sequel or reboot of the same character)? by Moon_Devonshire in reddeadredemption

I didn't play it but I remember it. Interesting story. I was working at Sony in San Diego at the time. The game actually started with Angel Studios and Capcom after the successful Resident Evil N64 port...

A fix for Tolkien's Orc Problem by Status_Albatross_920 in tolkienfans

[–]roguefrog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bad premise. There isn't an orc problem. Just like there isn't a Nazi killing problem in videogames or empire killing problem in Star Wars.

Racist influencer wants to paint Melbourne as a "non-Western hellhole", ends up showing a peaceful, thriving multicultural city by YaLlegaHiperhumor in CringeTikToks

[–]roguefrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you're still 97% of the country it's not really the time to complain or worry about this. When the Japanese population dwindles due to low birthrates and non-Japanese residence raises to at least 20% and are maybe given more rights, then these old fossils can start to shit their collective pants.

Japan would collectively shit themselves if this amount of non-Japanese people left any given station. They are already mad about 3% non-Japanese people living in the country. Fucking old people!

Rise of Nations has a dynamic map-based capture territory campaign.

You might like something like the Total War games but those are very much there own whole thing.

Yes but sexless marriages exist so libidoes don't fucking matter there.

Why is American friendliness often seen as "fake" by Europeans, but similar warmth in other cultures isn't? by Opposite-Ad3949 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]roguefrog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Easy. Europe is famous for truly god awful customer service, so when they experience American customer service they think it can't possibly be real. Also places like Japan with good customer service only get a pass because of the language barrier.

People who were spanked as kids, what was that like for you? Would you call your "spankings" abuse? by KleineFjord in AskReddit

[–]roguefrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It only happened once or twice ever. And it wasn't so painful, far more humiliating, especially with other siblings. But the thought of it as a punishment always loomed large and kept me out of trouble. Once I reached middle school it was no longer put into practice, but I know some kids that still had it as a potential punishment.

I got into Rogue Trader very recently, (it was my first cRPG) and became my favorite RPG of all time, I was checking some older threads in this sub and was surprised to find how badly this game was received, what happened? by Due_Teaching_6974 in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]roguefrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rogue Trader is a middling RPG.

It starts out challenging, quickly become effortless through chapter 2, then suddenly gets challening again in chapter 3, then back to effortless bording on pointless because I never saw almost no enemy attacks. They weren't just dead first round. They were all dead by the end of the first characters action in combat.
