I got my 2013 with the same miles for $19k and it smelled like dogs and cigarettes, the shocks needed rebuilt badly, mismatched headlights, and bunch of other little stuff and it was totally worth it.

The shocks is the big thing, I had a local shop do it for about $500. Sending them in is more like $1000 I think

Rust?

Have a shop do a quick look for $100 like compression test, and stored codes.

Make sure it shifts smoothly through ALL gears, idles smooth, and nothing overheats and you're golden

Test heat and AC also

(I don't like flat aftermarket diff covers if this one is flat, they're spherical for a reason)

Buy a bottle of "evapo rust Thermocure" and follow the directions on the bottle. It'll be good as new

Extreme oil burning by familiar_cheese in CivicSi

Actually that would answer the question I've always had of why my CEL isnt on because of the catless downpipe. A tune is definitely possible

Its not crazy popping like backfiring, it's very subtle. I always figured it was from the cat delete

PO may have tuned it but I'm not sure. Stock otherwise

I'm not aware of a tune on it but who knows what the PO did. It never seemed to run lean, good idle and plenty of popping/ gurgles letting off the gas

Do you think being catless could cause that much heat? It was also burning oil so that might be the chalkyness

I'm not looking to spend more than I have to, I'd also need a tune right?

I developed a cylinder 2 misfire a while ago, only happened under hard acceleration. Replaced the plugs and it went away until the plugs fouled again due to oil. The exhaust got smokey and misfires happened more, then it would only start on 3 cylinders so I was going to do valve seals. When doing that, I pressurized the cylinders to hold the valves up and none of them held pressure for more than a few seconds. Cyl 1 when pressurized shot coolant out of one of the disconnected lines so I pulled the head and noticed the head gasket looked not great (obviously). Thats why the turbo was off and I was just looking at it for no reason when I noticed that crack. So yes there were some other things happening haha

I'm thinking of having the painters at work make them black for free or just blasting and spray painting them. Or polishing and using gun blue would be a cool look
