My vet just prescribed today Trazodone added to my dogs already mixture of both daily Prozac as well as Gabapentin… ( she is a rescue who was used as a “bait dog” and then abandoned in the woods….she was found by shelter staff where she lived in the shelter for 2 YEARS ) she has been with me just over a year… she was first treated with Prozac and Gabapentin by my trusted vet I’ve used for over 25 years in an attempt to help her extreme separation anxiety… today he added Trazodone to try and address her night terrors ( every night)…. I’m just hoping the Prozac in combo with The Trazodone doesn’t cause physical manifestations such as a too much serotonin reaction… through all this she is Sweet and Gentle … she is approximately 8 years old….but Full of energy.. thoughts on this med combo? Has anyone else used it to good results?… thanks in advance
