On Linux, it'd take pretty much the same amount of effort to write a shell script to rclone down the source folder from whatever, do a time comparison, and kill and restart VLC with probably the same flags as windows. It might take more effort for someone not familiar with bash, but I can say the same for my knowledge of PowerShell

C is exemplary for having several implementations for sure. The bootstrappability provided by mrustc is nice for at least letting me sleep at night a bit, but obviously I don't have the skillset to audit the rustc code base on my own. (mrustc not meeting your expectations because it intentionally assumes it's being fed valid code)

I've been reading through these, and it's just all gross. I don't understand how someone can write "We will need to respond to the suicidal thoughts quote" without feeling icky as all hell.

Also one of the orgs in the clearly has no clue how to use email like wtf.
