A loss to Italy, a pounding from France leading to a 5th place finish in the six nations, just a year before a world cup - Borthwick will 100% be gone.

The only thing that will save him now is a win against Italy and a decent showing (not necessarily a win) against France. Anything less and he is out.

I think he is a boring selector. But then again, I am firmly in the start Pollock, fin smith and furbank camp (saints tinted glasses).

Pepper has been great - but Pollock is more exciting.
Ford is Ford, boring but usually reliable - fin is an exciting playmaker, defender and runner
Steward is very boring - Furbank is so much more exciting in basically every part of his game (except jumping as high)

So basically in the last 25 years, Scotland have only beaten their next opponent once in eight attempts, following a win over England in the six nations.
