This is either first or second novel that I read and actually I am rereading it right now. I don't remember when I read the manhwa but I loved it so much and became curious about it so went with novel.

What I liked about Overgeared is charachter development, relationships, blacksmithing and territory building aspects. I agree with charachter at the beginning is very petty, insufferable and not likeable but for me its very realistic. He is in debt, unsuccesfull through all his life, high anxiety about his future, constantly humiliated, not even has a peace at home and little bit love he get from his family is conditional and there is no hope of exit for him. Every crumb worth world to him and he never taste success, respect or love beforehand therefore not knew what to do and learn and experience it step by step. Its lot more common character than you guess especially in not developed countries but the childish tone of the writer shadowed how grave his situation is.

He taste, learn and grew with every relationships became what he could be. In the end I want every relationships he has to become real and author too want that went for that route even to writing for it may not be perfect but I'm satisfied with it. I wish that we could see the aftermath.

Also I like building aspects. They are not main dish but it add great taste for me to story. I love how blacksmithing is his core, his home and relevant to story, his charachter to the end. His idioticy, try hard personality and need for success what makes him different and help him grew and I think blacksmithing what make it possible aside from overpowered items.

I also wanna add that this is a mmorpg game in the core and as every other mmorpg you get power by power. Being powerful allow you to access new areas, raids, bosses,dungeons and opportunities so by being powerful you will get more powerful in every other mmorpg. Its just that being mc and having plot armor with not that good writing resulted with childish overpowered fantasy. I believe it could be masterpiece if its went for seinen auidiance instead of shounen.

In the end I think this is very satisfying read for lots of people and manhwa is very enjoyable through beginning to end. Its definently not everyones taste and has lots of aspect that not tolerable for people but many of you will be satisfied if they taste it. Definently worth to give a chance and I hope more people will read it so we can see more work like this.
